smooth brains have it in their heads that going out of their way to skip 1 pack of mobs is faster and its breaking the dungeon you guys designed. put up walls to stop the terrain abuse or just cave and let us just skip to the last boss in every dungeon for insta Valor which is what everyone wants anyway!

This is LITERALLY what you can do after the 1st boss in TolâVir. 0 trash mobs need to die after the 1st boss.

Skips in reg and H dungeons are âokâ But IMO really only if you are in a premade or guild group who know that is the plan - not for pugs.
People forget not everyone hit lvl 85 2 months ago, ran those dungeons multiple times already and are still working rep etc. If you are going to do skips in pugs - the Tank/Lead should say so at the start so people can ask for that NOT to happen for X reason.

I agree snd will never skip the packs when i tsnk. Groups have wiped more than actually getting past.

Why? Even if the pug messes up you can still mass rez them.
If people just laughed off those little mishaps, mass rezzed and moved on, sure. But not with the state of what the game is today. You get wipes because of messed up skip tries and that results in vote kicks etc.
What is wrong with playing the game as intended lol?

How do you know they didnât intend for you to be able to skip the trash in there? The 1st skip is very easy to do and the 2nd skip and run to the safe spot just requires you to not heal or attack anything⌠Itâs not rocket science.
But, as I said before. If YOU donât want to do the skip, then donât do it, take the extra 7 to 10 minutes to kill the trash mobs. No skin off my rump. Me⌠Iâll continue to skip them as I have for weeks now with no real issues. To each their own.
Is that without a full group of stealthers? I know a lot of it can be skipped but Iâm sure those guarding the tunnels canât be.
Not a big deal either way of course but if you can truly skip every single pack after the first boss then color me impressed.
I understand what you are saying and if it works for you then great, but I think youâre missing my point.
If you are in a Pug with newer level 85âs who do not know the dungeon or the skips and for example still working rep, then as a group they should be allowed to ask for skips to ânot happenâ. I get it that quicker Valor is nice, but not all players are in the same place in the game as others.
I was in a few groups that tried the âskipâ and it did not work, but instead of just killing the mobs as intended they kicked the healer and a DPS saying they âfailedâ. Sorry but I think that skips should be OKâd by the whole group at the start before assuming it is fine with all in the group.

It takes less time to kill them than it does to skip them. Whoever introduced this âskipâ needs to step on the biggest Lego ever.

No anybody can skip it. You just run by it all. Tank pulls slightly ahead of everybody, and everybody just runs to the safe spot, jumps up and all the mobs reset.

This was not the argument presented, never has been. The argument was that it does not save time, not that the skip should never happen because people are farming rep. Just because Iâve proven you wrong, donât start moving the goalpost.
Once again, Iâve never said that you should FORCE others to do the skip if they donât want. That was never the argument, nor was it even remotely presented that way.
Except itâs not 1 pack, itâs a total of 11 that youâre skipping. You donât have to kill a single trash mob after the 1st boss.
The fact that a hunter (shocking) does not understand this, and canât read properly to follow the logic, does not suprise me at all. You all have your reputation for a reason I guess.
First, even if you only do the 1st part of that skip, itâs still 3 packs not 1. And second, if yourâe only doing the first part of the skip, then yes, I agree pointless. But those of us without an IQ number smaller than our shoe size know that you donât just do the 1st skip. If youâre going to do it, you do both skips.

Now it feels like youâre just posting to be argumentative. The OP basically said put in ways/walls to stop skipping or allow skipping trash and go right to the bosses and he said âin every dungeonâ not just TolâVir.
My post was about why skips can work (with guild or party groups) and not always with others like pugs - seeing both sides, and saying if skips are going to happen it should be decided by the whole group ahead of time making sure the group is OK with it. Other dungeons have skips as well.
