1 bracer, 2 rings - no haste on any
1 trinket I already have
So where is the “smart loot”… where is the system that is the saving grace of the frankly piss poor loot distribution, “the guaranteed 1 upgrade per week”?

You already got the smart loot. 4 options instead of 1 like you had in BFA and Legion.
You just got unlucky that nothing helped you 4 times.
2 bracers and 1 ring. RIP the dreams of a decent piece
It was a matter of time before people came to the forums i suppose and got mad they didn’t get what they wanted
Ughhh, I ran a M+ the other day and got a necklace that wasn’t an upgrade.
Fix the game!!! /s
Everyone will only be fully satisfied once Blizzard just opens the books on any place we ran in the week and let us pick whichever 1 item we want from the loot tables.
And even then there might still be someone complaining.
The saving grace of the great vault, the entire point of its existence is as bas luck protection. loot is extremely sparse in M+ 1 bit of loot per 5 players, the solution to not getting loot in M+ or getting dupes/downgrades… the saving grace the thing that props up the whole system … as explained by the devs in every interview was the great vault… when great vault is a failure the system fails.
Heck, I am pretty sure blizzard said there should not be duplicate slots in the great vault at one point too.
M+ gives 2 pieces for players who can time, and if you get good enough it can go up to 3 or even 4
Or implements a deterministic loot system like pvp. The only way super low rewards works is by giving more choice to the player on how they upgrade.
Just to be clear, this was never a thing said by a developer. All that was said is that they would try to prevent duplicates of the exact same item from appearing at the same time.
Content creators then took this statement and flew with it to strange places.
Do more content, get more options. Pretty simple.
wont matter if all the options are complete trash
I had 7/9 options. 1 of them was the clear winner with a slot that had a 32 ivl upgrade. Do more content, get more options. Higher chance for something good. Also, rolling a crit fail (1) is part of the game. Welcome to WoW.
Its obvious they want you to participate on all content now to get the best chance at a real upgrade. Mythic+ only people aren’t over rewarded anymore and it makes them salty.
Have fun getting dumpstered by the people who got vault weapons this week. Revolol posted his 233 weapon on Twitter. Hahahahaha!
All options I had were upgrades and I was forced to pick a weapon. It was a terrible 1 minute of my life.
Lol yeah.
So glad I ran multiple M+s last week. My 216 was trash and barely an upgrade, but at least I had a 210 as backup.
But gonna have to get used to the mindset of making sure I run 10 M+ at the max loot drop instead of just 1 and done.
This is not true.
bad luck protection means “keeps unlucky players from going a whole week without seeing a drop”, not “everyone is guaranteed an upgrade every week”
Well yeah that WOULD be a better system.
I mean, that’s basically what Titan Residuum was and people liked that.
The main annoyance is that Blizzard lowered the normal loot from M+ and took away bonus loot to make it harder to target specific pieces. The Great Vault was supposed to balance that, and clearly it isn’t.
