Also Demon Hunters can jump up into Dun Baldar south bunker. Why is the Horde still allowed to do this and it’s not fixed? Do we seriously need this considering we have flanks around Stonehearth GY and a flank right to Stormpike GY? It’s so hard for the Alliance to ever defend because Horde have a flank around every chokepoint and GY. The Alliance have no flank around Iceblood or a flank into Frostwolf GY. They can’t sneak by and portal into a Frostwolf Tower.
I’m sick of getting undeserved boring wins as Horde in AV just because the map design of this BG is ridiculously easy for Horde. Although I’m starting to think that’s the intention of the design.
Well they should fix that as well. Make Dun Baldar a fortified base the same way Frostwolf is. A one way entrance and no backdoors. The Bridge should be the only way to get into Dun Baldar. It’s the main Alliance chokepoint but what do you know… Horde have a way around it. Don’t get me wrong I like winning AV as Horde. But what I don’t like is winning it only because it’s so easy and not a challenge to flank every Alliance chokepoint and graveyard they have. I’d like some earned challenging wins for once.
and from what I know of 3D art…you could simply fix this by moving a vertex in your collision mesh and visual mesh (given they are different meshes)
If you go near the south DB tower, look along the cliff edge. Look for the largest “V” shape in the cliff face.
Jam yourself into that while jumping and tapping forward. If you just hold forward, you will slide back down. By tapping, as you “land” from your jump, your are not “moving” so you sit higher in the “V” shape. Jump and forward again and you should be up.
I noticed that trying to do this slow is better than trying to rush up it.
(i point it out like this…so they can fix it)
And one of my ideas to make it “fair”…WHY after all this time…can you not just swap starting sides?
Have Alli “take over the horde base”, while horde did the same…then they are fighting to take their original places back.
I’d be okay with switching sides on the map. I mean it’d reveal to Horde that the Alliance side is gimped. Try defending on the Alliance side. It’s not impossible to succeed but it’s much harder to succeed than defending Horde side.
Exception for the flag guards, I would like to see all the npc near aid station being moved further away, or removed permanently. If I go to RH at the horde base, I don’t have to worry about pulling any additional npc, besides the flag guards. On horde if you go for aid station, you always have people pulling every npc in the world.
Mad enough to reply to this thread contributing nothing to the concern. Again you don’t post on your main so we can’t even see how much you really do win. You might be fine with easy wins on AV due to the map design but I actually want a challenge when I win otherwise it isn’t very fun to me.
It’s no surprise that WSG and AB were the only 2 small BG’s in Classic, which the rerelease of will utilize the graphics of Modern WoW. AV is also present in Classic, obviously, so I suspect it’s in the works as well. It’d be strange for 2 of 3 BG’s in Classic to be revamped.
