Still in beta. Female warlock should be called a witch. It’s incorrect to call them warlocks. Gender is implied in the word.
I’m sure your engineers are in US where they in theory do speak English. So please fix this monstrosity.
I can tell you from first hand experience that they have trouble with words and definitions.

In the real world, yes, a female “warlock” is a witch. In warcraft it has never been a gender-specific term, and there are no ‘witches’. Warlocks are anyone who deal with demonic magic.
Warlocks are not similar to witches in the wow universe.
Wow universe isn’t transgender. This is basic English.

Gul’dan himself literally called the shadowmoon female shamans he gave the fel “warlocks…”
I mean you’re either born a female or a male and there’s no changing the biological fact that you were born female or a male.
But yes witches have never been a thing in wow

The most commonly accepted etymology derives warlock from the old English wǣrloga meaning “oathbreaker”, “deceiver” or “traitor”, and later was used as the male equivalent of witch.

It’s a class, not just a term used to describe them. Their gender is irrelevant.
The word witch has no gender.
A male witch is a witch.
A female witch is a witch.
Warlock now days is a fantasy term. And one mistranslated in the past to mean something it doesn’t.
And Authors or other type of creators have the freedom to do as they choose.
Have read books were women are KINGS and men are WITCHES!
There is no gender involved in the word warlock.
Even the word it came from, waerloga, had no specific gender assigned to it.
Also, the argument, when it comes to wow, has no basis because a witch could also be a female mage.
People are so easily baited.
