I can tell you from first hand experience that they have trouble with words and definitions.

In the real world, yes, a female “warlock” is a witch. In warcraft it has never been a gender-specific term, and there are no ‘witches’. Warlocks are anyone who deal with demonic magic.
Warlocks are not similar to witches in the wow universe.
Wow universe isn’t transgender. This is basic English.
Gul’dan himself literally called the shadowmoon female shamans he gave the fel “warlocks…”
I mean you’re either born a female or a male and there’s no changing the biological fact that you were born female or a male.

A male witch is a witch.
A female witch is a witch.
Warlock now days is a fantasy term. And one mistranslated in the past to mean something it doesn’t.
And Authors or other type of creators have the freedom to do as they choose.

Also, the argument, when it comes to wow, has no basis because a witch could also be a female mage.
