I’ve asked you repeatedly to elaborate on why you are so passionate about this and you just repeat the accusation that they are cheaters and exploiters. I’m coming to the conclusion that you’re trolling here…
Ok, fair enough. Obviously this should be fixed. Until then though, enjoy it while you can. Sounds like a fun DPS boost in raids and a neat way to change up how you play your class. Have fun out there!
No it shouldnt. The game should be updated to fix certain things nobody thought to do back in the day… but thanks to discord, youtube, and 10+ years of private server people have found to exploit.
You cannot tell me there is a valid reason you should get your other class tree pets / buffs / etc. Its complete BS…
To call these the same is absurd. I already stated, I agree, it should be fixed.
To advocate for spec weavers to be banned is gross. Lot of community vibes here when people advocate that others should be banned for checks notes swapping specs.
Ban is a broad term. A “Ban” usually just means a temporary suspension. Pretty sure there have only been a handful of instances in the entire history of WOW where a player was permanently banned for even egregious exploiting (see the recent retail gold dupe where people STILL weren’t banned)
Handing out suspensions has a deterrant effect however and it’ll make people think twice next time before they rush to take advantage of what is clearly not an intended interaction.
I use ban and suspension interchangeably. Is it correct? No. Do I care? No.
Even a suspension is too much for swapping specs.
This started as a gross oversight by Blizzard.
Is it? Because everytime something like this happens, people come in and say it’ll be a deterrent, but it still never is. It’s just people trying to play better, others seething because they can’t or refuse to, and then begging blizzard to punish players. Botters, sellers, buyers, flyhackers, etc, should be a focus of bans and suspensions.
Swapping specs because Blizzard isn’t competent enough to make the trees despawn when not in Balance should not be punished. Fixed, yes. Punished, no.
Most exploits in pretty much every game/product/financial instrument anywhere can be described as “gross oversights.”
If the bank accidentally deposits a million dollars into your account is that a “gross oversight?” Absolutely.
Can you still go to jail for spending said money? Absolutely.
Blizzard didn’t issue a single suspension to people who farmed Heroic Magister Terrace without lockout on launch day of Sunwell Patch, and people are here demanding others to be banned for something that existed in the game back in 2008/2009.
