Fix Sharding

Waited at rust for 45 minutes, wasnt all that many people around at first, but it started to really gather up a lot after a while. Randomly phases to different shard with like 5 people around me…waits for another 30minutes and it still hasnt spawned. This is just straight up not fair, fix sharding in this game and stop wasting my time blizzard. Ruined my time playing today, I logged off. Thanks.

If that is all it takes to ruin your play, not sure fixing shardi g would work.

I was loot eligible and about to win a battle on Nazjatar. Took like 6 steps and phased out of the battle.

Feels bad man. But it happens.

I think the point is it happens more times than not. When something like that constantly happens to myself and others, its clearly a broken system. Which needs to be fixed. When you get this on a daily basis of play. You really start to get tired of it.

I feel like this statement is fine when it comes to stuff like not getting the loot you want after killing a boss for the umpteenth time. But when you put in the time or effort to accomplish something and the game design denies you even the chance to receive a reward, that’s some straight up shenanigans. I’m with OP on this one, sharding needs some adjustment to not ruin a players chance at the rewards they are putting in time for.

Sharding, CRZ, cross-realm play, WM on and WM off, and phasing need to be removed from the game.

Oh I don’t disagree that it is not working properly. Look at Warmode imbalances for proof.

But if you let it get to you that is another story.

Look two posts down from your reply where I almost entirely agree with you.

Letting it get you angry and claiming your day is ruined though is extreme.

There was also no guarantee Rustfeather would have been up at all in this time span.

So again getting upset at an unknown to the poi t of that the OP stated is more what I am taking umbrage to.

Happened to me last time =/ I was doing the Brawler club boss, we were like 10 cheering at each other and having fun … When suddendly i just switched shard with 1 random dude i didn’t speak with … I like how Open world has become a no zone to make friend.

I had that happen to me one night. I bought all the items to set the place up with spirit rezzer pots the whole nine. I’d queue a fight, and then get sharded into a new phase with nothing. This kept happening all night and it pissed me off like you wouldn’t believe. They need to get rid of sharding, because there’s no sense in having the world randomly flip for no reason. They could upgrade their server technology so their game ran better, but they’re too cheap to do so. They’d rather play out this crap show and see how far they can get before everyone finally jumps ship for a better game.

I mean sure, maybe extreme? But I get it a little in this case. I haven’t had it ruin my whole day but I’ve definitely stopped what I was up to in Mech out of frustration from sharding mid-combat while killing a rare, so regardless of their personal level of ire I’m sympathetic to OP. I think I’d feel pretty miffed from the example you provided as well, because it’s totally outside of our control as players. Not a great way for the people upstairs to make their content reliably fun, which is what this game should be.

Full agreement there

I also get what you are saying. Perhaps I am a little too much roll with the punches in relation to the game. Who knows.

It’s certainly not a bad thing to avoid getting keyboard smashing mad over games, especially with some of the trials and tribulations WoW has gone through. I think if every buggy thing in WoW incensed me I’d not have kept up with it since Vanilla. Rolling with the punches isn’t bad either because there’s really nothing to do but keep playing and hope it works out next time, or quit playing all together. But hopefully someone with decision making power at Blizzard sees this kind of player feedback and does something constructive with it.

I agree the sharding/phasing needs a fix. I’ve had players dealing damage to an enemy but I can’t see them. I’ve had a boss shard/phase in and then out. Had quest items appear if I was far away from them but shard/phase out if I got close, that’s you Nazjatar. I’ve had WQ’s that appear on my map but when I enter the area they are in they don’t shard/phase in. I’ve been sharded/phased into another instance while in the middle of fights. I’ve had players just shard/phase into another instance. All of that is annoying.

Not in a good game.

Yes there is a guarantee, he spawns every 30-60 minutes. So I waited longer than his actual spawn time by over 15 minutes, and potentially an hour and 45mins total.
