Fix Raid Lockdown

Can someone explain how the Raid Lockdown works in WoW?

Yesterday I tried to do “Omega Managforge” on Heroic difficulty with a PUG, but after a wipe on the second boss, the RL left, and then instead of continuing, everyone else left too.

Does that mean I can’t do it with anyone else anymore?

So, is it 2025? Could they make the Lockdown more flexible?

You can do it as many times as you want on heroic and below with anyone. You just won’t get loot from bosses you’ve killed before

You are just loot-locked to the bosses you already killed, which also results in the group getting less loot if you’d be required to push the group size over one of the loot thresholds.

Only on Mythic difficulty does it prevent you from joining a different group.

Thank you.

You can run it at many times as you like, but you can only be eligible for loot once per kill. You not being eligible also affects how much loot drops.

So if you’re in a party of 10 and already saved to a boss then it’ll be 1 piece of loot and 80% chance of a second one.

Mythic is unique, so if you go in and kill a boss then you’re stuck with that raid lockout until next week. If the group clearing mythic clears the rest then it clears the bosses for you as well.

This made my week! It was a great change!

I didn’t know that until this week…

I believe that’s how heroic lockout has worked since warlords prepatch 11 years ago, could be wrong though.
