Blizzard says you cannot use the Net-O-Matic while moving. Thats false.
Getting farmed by Rogues who can dismount in air and use their Net-O-Matic, while falling, should not be a thing.
Do you know how they are doing it? Asking for a friend.

Well would you rather they just remove flying from War Mode? In my opinion, it ruins War Mode, but at the same time, its too much of a luxury to just remove from War Mode because then no one would turn it on really.
This bug you’re talking about doesn’t only apply to Net-o-Matic, it applies to all spells. You can cast any spell while falling. I love that you can net someone while falling, because then people can’t just hide on their mount at the skybox.

If your not sitting still you’ll usually fly out of range. another thing is fly close to the ground wont hurt even if they net you then just stomp them

When you fly a million lightyears into the sky, they will follow you up, dismount and net you while falling. I am very aware how to not get netted. This new tactic, from my experience, is busted and shouldn’t be a thing. If it is a buff, what buff allows a person to net while falling?
If select the option in the menu auto dismount on use.
You can use a spell/item from mounted and it will keep working while falling.
Nah it needs to stay a thing, if not, then make the range of Net-o-Matic indefinite unless out of view distance range. Its so stupid that people can just avoid wpvp by sitting at the skybox.

As much as I love the net, it seems very unlikely that this is intended. I wouldn’t get attached to this “new feature”.
Can I tell you how disappointed I was that the salt-hardened shell doesn’t work again? I held onto it since Legion just in case. I was hopeful with the level squish it would have another life. Alas, that level 49 hard cap made me sad…

It’s very much not intended, you’re right, but this is applying to all spells. I even mass resurrected a poor fellow 100 yards in the air and he fell straight to his death again.
If they do fix it, or when, they should consider reworking the Net-o-Matic to be indefinite range, because personally I’m not a fan of people waiting at the skybox while they gather friends or a raid group. There has to be risk, even while flying.

Now that’s funny!
When avoiding the net, the only class I actually fly up rather than along the horizontal plane is my monk. And that is purely so I can troll people as my saddle chute deploys, and I OOC zen flight and mount up mid air leaving the would be zerg disappointed below.

I think you should be able to fire them off your flying mount. I mean seems more realistic. It would make flying much more dangerous and you would have gliders keybinded. Maybe even flame throwers to torch your mount, imagine the dog fights.

How you do it:
Whilst mounted mid air select your target as close to them as you can be then be STILL.
Once still quickly press net o matic and do not move your character let him fall as it casts or your cast will cancel.
Pro tips: put saddlechute on your Mount equipment.
Try begin cast above the enemy to increase less likely hood of them escaping.
If your a Mage abuse your slow fall on and off with a cancel aura macro.
Personally I think it’s awesome and stops cowards from hiding way up in the air from the ground. I believes it’s intended as well, as technically your character is NOT MOVING, it’s simply dropping with gravity straight down.
Like logistically it makes sense as well if a soldier has a rocket launcher they’d be able to fire it whilst falling vertical with a parachute.
Only people who will moan are people like the OP who are care bears and hate being forced into PVP. However I believe if you have WM on you lose that choice and the world should feel unsafe so there more gadgets that stop being cowards the better! In order to improve world PVP!!

It’s so much fun! I fly a few yards above someone, net them while falling, hit my wings and wait for them to drop down in range and smack them with reaping flames for the hk. The salt has been delicious.
Something even better to do is start netting them, and when they fall past you, use any CC and they’ll just fall to their death. You can use ranged stun or use that cage cc and they’re as good as dead.

as a druid I forgot that the net existed
You don’t already? I can’t tell you how many times a class with a knock back probably went from joyous to upset when I insta glider back on to the ledge from which they just launched me.
