Just spent 20 minutes zoning in and out of Darnassus and other zones to get into the same layer as my enchanter friend, spoilers we never got in the same layer, and no matter what we did it would not put us in the same layers.
Twenty Minutes… I freaking repeat, Twenty Minutes and no matter what we did we could not get into the same layer with each other… We are friends on Battle net, in the same guild, in the same group, no matter what we did we could not get onto the same layer and all we were trying to do was do an enchant…
I don’t mind layering for population control and server stability, it is what it is, but this is absurd with a capital A. At what point does the layering system become so anti-player friendly because of all these absurd, invisible, safeguards put in place to prevent layer hopping that you can’t even do anything with a friend? I can’t get an enchant from them because some invisible system wont phase us and did not phase us for, again, TWENTY MINUTES!
This isn’t abusing layer hopping, this is just trying to get a freaking enchant! It’s really disgustingly absurd at this point that anyone working at Blizzard can look at this and say “Yes, this system is working as intended.”
EDIT: And no, I know we could have run to an instance to deal with this but we shouldn’t have to is the crux of this complaint.
