I plan on unsubbing because I wanted to play classic because it meant we all started all over and the community aspect would be intact. Community entailed a market driven AH where it was true to the server. Now, we dont have that. Due to layering and its exploits it has effectively ruined about everything I wanted out of classic. So, yes, I could see myself quitting quite easily. If I wanted to play retail I would still be there. This is just retail with longer leveling at this point.

Also since when did game companies start to need to be convinced to permaban people? Back in the day, you cheat, ANY kind of cheating, on any game, MMOs especially, you’d be permabanned without hesitation. The developers would brook no argument. There’d be no discussion. You break the rules to gain an unfair advantage, you’re a cheater, and cheaters get permabanned, no exceptions.
Now, they’re what, scared to lose sub money? Sack up, Blizzard. If these people love your game enough to play it so obsessively that they see an obvious exploit and think “We need to do this!” then obviously they’ll buy another copy. In any case, monetary incentive should never, ever be a factor in banning cheaters.
BAN THEM. Forever. And if they have a single argument to make, ban them again, because clearly they’re evading their ban on a second account.

Blizzard I know you might be scared to ban the streamers because you don’t want to lose publicity or subs or whatever. But this is such a serious issue, and everyone is so upset, that you will cause much more damage to your brand by not acting harshly. Everyone will lose confidence in you, and those private servers creators are always waiting in the wings, and if they can do a better job than you…

Deflate-gate. um yah sure okay … lets see tom like his balls a few psi below the regulations, but is okay when Aaron Rodgers admits that he likes his pumped up 2 to 4 PSI above and has done it!!!
So yes, all teams push the limits, if they didn’t they aren’t trying… i’m guessing your a J.E.T.S fan. LOL

How else do you think groups cleared MC and Ony in the first week, getting gear for 40 players and faction for required item to even complete MC.
It never added and now this is the missing piece of the puzzle.
No mercy, I know Twitch streamers can get banned from Twitch for cheating/exploiting. If Twitch wont ban them as big names, they should be penalized, otherwise why would anyone bother to follow rules if the headliners don’t?

US horde guild “Overrated” was banned in 2006 for using terrain exploits to skip AQ40 bosses and trash in order to go directly to C’thun. Banned. For skipping trash so they could kill the last boss.
Now we have individuals and guilds exploiting layering so they can achieve multiple boss kills in the same lockout or without having to reclear the dungeon.
Blizzard, pass the sentence and swing the sword.

Seen an EU Gold Farmer stream on bit-chute yesterday multiboxing 5 man strat live resetting bosses over and over and had 5 toons bags full of rightous orbs then he went to his alts mailbox 50+ epic recipes general drakk flask, vestments, orbs and he blocked the names so couldn’t see them i asked him why he said well im gonna sell this stuff for irl money im like … really considering going back to priv server if its gonna be like this on retail only thing i like here atm is the latency over eu lat since im american.

This has to be permanent bans. Blizzard is just condoning the behavior otherwise and I would expect to see a mass exodus of players if it’s just a slap on the wrist.

Blizzard should have done a wave of bans before announcing this so people would not have time to offshore ill-gotten gains, which we all know these cheaters are in the process of doing.

The damage done is rough. I watched end-game items go up for hundreds of gold overnight. 60’s with epic mounts in a matter of weeks from launch. Full raid gear everywhere. For the casual player it’s disheartening and an huge disappointment.
The gold that will flood the system will raise the prices to such a stupid extent that it will be difficult for anyone but layering and raid exploiters to afford anything. Please make one or two servers with a fresh start and limited layering. The influx of players won’t be enough to crash it because most people won’t leave their current characters behind.
Would it really be so bad to let those of us who want an authentic classic experience and reasonable economy have our own server?
