Fix firemaw lightning debuff not stacking(or add an expiration)

As much as i enjoy staring deeply into firemaw eyes resisting every flame buffet, having that be the only way to clear stacks of lightning ive taken from affix damage/nearby player splash) is super clunky please make it either drop off or just keep stacking independant of the damage(before anyone tells me to step into los i was in middle of room staring at boss waiting for flame buffet to actually hit me for about 1 minute(solution might be less fr(was 310)

I had this same exact issue last night, (with much less FR ~170) I got to 8 stacks of Lightning moved out to the designated “Discharge Spot” literally creeped up to 10 stacks and then just sat there for an additional minute at 10 stacks looking directly at the boss. All while my Flame Buffet ticked all the way up to 12. Am I doing something wrong here???

With that much FR, you just ignore it as a mechanic and pop greater nature protection potions to eat the incidental damage.

People who don’t have resistances need to run in and out. But not you.

i believe you have to actually take flame buffet damage to have it stack but i could be wrong.

Yea that is the problem, i was getting all my stacks from damage coming off other players(i guess their lightning or something so when i stepped out i resisted every flame buffet for the rest of the fight

You are correct… so if you resist flame buffet you wont get stacks. I sat on 8 stacks for like 25 secs. Not fun…

just have to position the raid a bit better really.

the range of it isnt like super far and even if 2 people are sitting out and get chained its not life threatening .

even more so if people are all wearing a fr set so they arent taking pulse damage so its easier to heal.

its all about positioning with the tanks and the heals and the dps.

I didnt say it was hard

But sitting out for 25secs trying to get the last 2 stacks so you dont blow up the melee is a bit rough.

ahh well.

i play ranged anyways so we can sit out in narnia and not chain lol.

I killed a couple of range on my run cuz another melee drop the poison in a bad spot and I had to run a bit closer to range. lol
