Fix Famine Evaluator and Snack Table

The new raid feast introduced in 8.2 doesn’t provide large enough of an increase over the new secondary stat food for enough classes to justify the investment. My suggestions to fix this item are the following:

  1. Remove spare part crates from the recipe and replace with either:

    • Midnight Salmon (as this now serves no purpose but can still be obtained from 8.2 Fishing Spots)
      -OR-
    • A mixture of Hardened Springs, Tempered Plating, and Machined Gear Assembly (to keep the flavor theme)
  1. Make Ionized Minnows able to be traded

  2. Increase the main stat buff provided from the feast

While it is possible to simply purchase the feast itself from the Auction House, the tedium to farm the materials an individual must go through to farm causes the price to simply far out way the benefits compared to personal food. If the price is too steep and a guild should so choose to go through the effort of coordinating individuals to farm the minnows and spare parts, the effort to craft the feast won’t benefit enough players and the time would’ve been better spent farming for personal food for the raid which is drastically easier to craft and in most situation a larger DPS increase.

I genuinely do not think having bind on pickup mats for feasts (or crafting in general) has ever been a good idea and this is currently one of the worst iterations of this idea and does not promote a healthy economy.

I think they just need to make them worth using, first.

I totally agree that ALL crafting materials should be tradable.

Minnows are very easy to get just by asking Danielle Anglers in Mechagon to use the minnow vac and in 10 to 15 minutes you will have literally hundreds of minnows.

I agree. If all they changed was increasing the main stat given to make it more comparable to secondary stat food and worth the time invested, it probably wouldn’t require a material requirement change.

As for Minnows, it is less about the ease of acquiring them and trying to stay consistent with materials that are able to be traded.

I think the ingredient requirements need to be reduced all around. Compare to Wrath Fish Feasts, which I think were about right: 2 each of 3 kinds of fish, plus 1 Northern Spices. You could farm up a stack or two before raid easily. Farming for your raid food shouldn’t take longer than your raid.

ETA: While farming for just the Viper Fish, have farmed enough Mauve Stingers for literally 375 Fragrant Kakavia (198 Stamina)

The incredible tedium of trying to farm up 300 each of Viper Fish, Stringy Loins and Meaty Haunches for a stack of 20 feasts is terrible, then add the crates on top of that? Ugh. The only thing that can be farmed in a reasonable time is the Minnows.
