Fix clipping on tranmogs

Ok i was just noticing today how much clipping there is in gear and even with body parts of your character . Like my rogue one of the legion sets the helmet piece his hair goes right through the helmet. i have noticed on other characters like horns and tucks do the same thing you would think they would fix something by now just makes the mog look weird. Has anyone else have this problem just takes the immersion out of the game alittle.

My problem is weapons clipping through Nelf ears.

My problem is also weapons period. They don’t sit correctly on some races, they’re stupidly huge for some races, ones that sit at the hip look ridiculous for some races, etc.

Staves on KT are haphazard and in different spots depending on the staff and don’t sit in the center correctly.

It’s a mess.

Expecting no clipping at all just isn’t going to happen. Can’t happen. You’re really just going to have to learn to live with it, honestly. Particularly egregious issues like nelf ears clipping through weapons and gnome weapons clipping through the ground can and should be fixed by adjusting their placement on the character model though.

I hear your frustrations OP, and agree with you. It needs fixing.

Unfortunately it’s never going to happen because Blizzard doesn’t care about it as much as we do.

it is just looks weird on my characters there is some good sets just the clipping makes it looks bad

Elf, Goblin, and Troll ears all clip through a good portion of helmets. Tusks, eyebrows etc. Frankly I don’t think Blizzard cares much about it.

Yep. They go to all the effort of making intricate sets that end up looking terrible because they don’t put the effort into making sure it sits on all characters correctly.

There’s zero polish.

ya i know what you mean

After the recent worgen rework, the back of my female worgen’s head now goes through her helm, so I had to hide it. Maybe, I just didn’t notice it, but I don’t remember as much clipping on the older character models.

There’s a lovely purple mages helm with a high back piece that looks quite nice on my void elf. However when I mount my mage class mount (the disk whatever it’s called) the back piece literally clips through her skull a quarter of the way. Gotta say it’s quite irritating but it’s better than my blood elf paladin. There’s a black and gold (I think) helm except instead of red or black gem it’s purple which fits with nothing.

yes this is the real problem with the game right now.

geez

Not every freakin thread needs to be something dramatic ya dingus, it’s nice to discuss other topics that have the potential to be fixed… albeit a small one.

i know its small just figured its something that could easily be fixed if they wanted to.

Aye this is frustrating. It’s why I don’t use the shoulders from my set mog. I neck myself whenever I hold my weapon

Most people can have more than one concern at any given time.

Sadly the amount of work that fixing clipping would take is a ridiculous undertaking. I’d say nearly on the level of a whole new World Revamp if not even more work… It would require individually modifying every single weapon in the game to have its own unique anchor point for every single Race in the game. And that is just the weapons. Fixing armor clipping is even worse because of how some Races stand/idle/move. You’re never going to get rid of clipping on certain races no matter what you do.

I’m not trying to defend or white knight Blizzard here, but the logistics of getting rid of clipping is… insane. I’d love to see clipping gone, but… :frowning:
