I have been waiting for well over an hour now for my AV queue to pop.
This is getting ridiculous, why should i have to wait such a long time to pvp? Can’t find any horde to kill while i wait either. Please fix.

Then you have failed.
Average maybe 5k honor for an AV game. Horde usually get 3.5k depending on how competent they are. Games last 20 minutes. Alliance earn 5k in an hour and horde can get maybe 10.5k due to no queues.

Do you propose they start introducing AI horde players to play against?

Okay this is a troll right? You’re only competing against others that are in the same position as you. Horde players could be getting 1 million honor per hour and it would affect you in no way whatsoever.

AI opponents wouldnt be the worst idea. They have them in a retail bg mode and they are actually quite difficult.
And AV is fighting mostly against AI anyway at this point lol
It is fair because you only compete against your own faction to rank and honor isn’t a currency in
Classic.
It wouldn’t matter if Horde gets 1 million honor per BG and Alliance only gets 1 per BG. It’s still fair.

SoM should 100% have same faction BGs. The argument that its the players fault for choosing the wrong faction is ridiculous. Allowing same faction BGs and prioritizing premades vs premades in match making are two of the greatest improvements in TBC classic. SoM would benefit greatly from these changes.

On the topic itself, I can’t tell if this is a troll topic or not. I have zero issues with queue times. With the way SoM ranking works you’re competing against your own faction and your entire faction has queues. Having ranked as horde I can say that you get even less downtime with no queues due to there being a ton of tryhards who will play 20 hours a day. Queuing up and being able to walk the dog or take a shower without losing much is nice. If people don’t like queues they can roll on the other faction.
I won’t speak against the premade vs premade thing, people want that here and I’m on the fence (I just want the social aspect to still be part of Classic PVP and that’s my primary concern).
However, I do not think that the same faction BGs helped the game at all. In my opinion, they significantly reduced the quality of BGs. I don’t like the fighting your own faction thing but that’s just me so I’ll ignore that one. My main problem with them is that they got introduced and the quality of the battlegrounds decreased significantly. TBCC BGs are now full of give-ups who don’t try at all. The BGs are not very fun anymore and they are not worth playing for anything more than honor/mark grinding. That is unless you are the type to just like to 1v1 on the road but if that’s all you do you aren’t helping the BGs be fun for those who like playing for the objectives anyway.
So I’m really happy that Blizzard didn’t go that route. What we got is totally fine IMO (ranking could probably be better or could have been delayed, but as for faction vs faction this is absolutely not needed).

Cry us a river. Back when horde had to wait 1h 30m for AV, alliance gave zero Fs and just told us to reroll.

-I’m on a PVE realm bruh. We never did squat to our alliance. In fact they are the majority here. If this were PVP, they’d be the one bullying us.

Av has premades too. You could opt to form your own premade. Just beat the other premades and they’ll move on to the opposite bg
