I wanted to make some gold off my profession, ya know, like everyone else. Kinda hard to do that when we cant experiment and unlock new potions/phials because you guys disabled it and its been like almost 2 entire cooldown rotations now. Please FIX this crap.

Alchemy has gotten alot harder and is not enjoyable. I was lead to believe professions got better… yeah… not so much

I have always leveled my alchemy…but…after seeing what all this new ‘system’ is…NM…just gonna pick the silly herbs, and sell what I can while I can.
They have made it so I dont even want to mess with it now.
Took the ‘work/chores’ out of other areas, and put them in to professions…nah…
kill n loot…sell whatever mats I get…not even gonna sweat it this go round, not worth it

Pretty sure the cooldown is only going to get worse. Blizz will have the usual knee-jerk reaction and make a punitive change to affect everyone, because they don’t want (i.e. claim they don’t have records) to punish the players who abused a known bug from the beta and drove them to disable the experimentation in the first place.

Thats how it will be for a long time. People need the mats to level to level up their professions, so the price of the finished products are heavily subsidized by the cost of the mats.

The key to making money with alchemy is specing for multi crafting or whatever. Where you can make more than one at once via RNG.
Not that we can do any of that because you can’t experiment to level up or get new recipes. Only the exploiters benefited and they are controlling the alchemy economy right now while us plebs get punished for their crimes.

well, with batch potion making you can make hefty profit. problem is we cant experiment to unlock potions to make profit off of. thanks blizzard.

yeah i was excited for the new professions, especially alchemy, but this kind of killed it. we’re 4 days in and the AH is already packed full of rank 3 pots/phials of every recipe. and those of us who didn’t rush are stuck unable to even learn stuff.

Agreed. I took a two day break from alchemy and now I can’t even learn any new recipes. I don’t understand why they’re punishing the entire alchemy community just because of a few exploiters.
Wait, what happened in Alchemy? I just got my Alchemist to Dragon Isles and I was confused as to how alchemy was working slow. I know they were trying to slow down Alchemy because some people had like 15 alts just for transmutes.
Selling basic b potions because that’s all I can do rip lmao.

Is that case every time new mats are introduced. Give it a few weeks. Or gather mats. I have half my mat bank filled because I am obsessive about picking flowers.
There is no money in copper crafting products this expansion. You make money specializing in something and producing the niche products and CDs. The purpose for that is two-fold, I think. First it’s better for casuals to have things like affordable heal pots and basic gems while leveling, and copper stuff is fine at lower levels. Second it gives more people things to do and prevents someone from dropping a million gold on mats the first week and then getting a monopoly.
I thought I was the only one!
but that’s what happened with alchemy. in fact, it’s even worse. i could drop a million gold today and it would make no difference, because experimentation is disabled.

I picked herbs went to do my potions but couldn’t make heads or tails of what I was looking at, so I drop arrow to have material ( yes I see something) I click on it and nothing , I don’t understand what’s I’m supposed to do

There are no good guides for the new professions either. I’ve read several and they all leave many questions unanswered. I’m one of the main flask-makers for my guild and they’re expecting me to get leveled-up. They venmo’d me cash for mats and everything.
