Anyone else really want Blizzard to remove caster mistweaver from the game? It wastes so many talent slots

Honestly as a high m+ fistweaver i feel like they just need to make it baseline how to heal as monk and make other things proc off your rotation like it did when it was really strong in sl. They can expand on fistweaving and make it so you can give some kinda fae stomp speed boost or something in addition to the normal rotation. just throwing ideas out there.
But yeah they need to make fistweaving baseline and have soothing mist be super empowered after so many kicks to where it channels to like 3 people and all spells are replicated to those 3 during the channel to make it more effective and fun.

I’m torn between agreeing that fistweaving is iconic to the spec and should be the default identity of monk healing, but on the other hand you did the annoying clap emoji thing.
Made me rethink my position. But I think I still agree.

There are MANY other caster healers u can play. God forbid there is a unique playstyle. Blizzard needs to lean fully into fistweaving, the average caster mistweaver can go play something else

I hate fistweaving no offense to you. I just think it’s not fun for me. Very boring especially on 4+ targets. Maybe if there were one or two more DPS cooldowns to replace some healing cooldowns or a dot. Relying on enemies to exist to heal isn’t always great (I feel you as a disc enjoyer) and being melee seems harder. I think it should be viable for people who like it but please don’t remove healing spells for people who like castweaving.

Check my other reply just above, and I also said monk is my Favorite healer. I tried the others, but I like the healing style of monks.
Let blizz make a 4th spec, support/heal fistweaver.

Talents should offer choices beyond a binary. Currently misteeaver is an entirely binary talent tree, i.e. go full mistweaving or full fistweaving. This leaves little room for choice along the tree. In this case, its more like picking a spec then moving through a talent tree.

As someone who only plays fistweaving when it’s even slightly viable, no because having alternate play styles is good and it lets MW actually still be useful in instances where being in melee is not the best idea

The class is obviously meant for 4 specs, especially considering monk lore, one spec for each celestial. But blizzard hates monk so this wont happen, therefore, the only course of action is to remove casting MW
This isn’t FFXIV. Either you change how the game works fundamentally, and scare most of the playerbase away… Or don’t. Change for its own sake is the summary of how this game has been declining over the past decade.
Honeslty they could also bring back touch of karama for healers where you used to purposely soak damage and turn it into healing for everyone around you.
I like how the Mistweaver talents work right now. There are multiple viable builds: CF Yulon, AT Chi-Ji, AT Yulon, AT builds with or without FLS. That’s pretty good so far as I’m concerned.

Yes caster mistweaver is generic, blizzard needs to further lean into the unique fistweaving playstyle to avoid the constant ffxiv-style homogenization
I want to agree. I mean it would be nice to have one healer in the game that is purely melee. Monk should be it. Full melee.
The people who wants to play a 40y healer can already go with priest, druid and shaman. Ppl who wants a 30y healer go with evoker.
If fistweaver could work great in all contents (dungeon, raid, solo pvp, bgs, questing) I would main it.
Right now I feel im forced to swap to mist for optimal healing. So I cant really play the way I want with the class I want.
There are many monks out there who don’t and have no interest in fistweaving. You’d be forcing them into rerolling or playing a spec they don’t enjoy.
