Fistweaving in Raid

So I was thinking of learning to Fistweave in raid again since we can’t really do much damage with the caster build (I hope blizzard changes this) but I wanted to know how far behind is fisting in raid over the current build?

If you are only aiming to do normal or heroic once you really over gear it go for it.

I found myself around 10-12% HPS behind when trying to fistweave in raid rather than playing clouded focus.

With that said, I also don’t know if this is really a quantifiable thing, at least before the healing assignments you get from mythic raiding. That lost HPS could just as easily be due to the differences in fistweaving healing having more healing sniped from other healers as it was the actual potential being lower. It’s also possible I just don’t have as good of a handle on raid fistweaving as I do clouded focus and the problem was me.

I’ve actually been only playing fistweaving this tier in raids after playing CF/Yulon last tier just because I didn’t wanna have to do mana management in a meme tier.

For heroic and early Mythic bosses where there’s not much damage going out at any given time, I found it easier to snipe heals/top healing meters, so I think for most content it’s quite viable. However, the healing profile feels quite flat, so for bosses with big burst esp periods where you’re the only CD assigned, I found it very hard to keep up with HPS as you just don’t get the ramp burst of Yulon.

There’s also certain bosses where maintaining 100% melee uptime is a big struggle, so I’ll probably go back to caster on those, but otherwise it’s felt great.
