at a certain skill level, you should simply be able to stay mounted while fishing. It’s odd that you can’t, really.

Have you ever tried to swing a pick axe at rock with ore in it from a horse? Because we can. At a certain skill in mining. And obviously this would be at a certain skill in fishing.

I can see people abusing this to use their mount to help pull up bigger fish. This is an advantage I do not want to invest learning therefore I must insult your idea and also spit on it and then twist it into the dirt.

Which fishing? There’s not just one. That was the point of that line.
Also yes, mounted gathering is also stupid (except for that mechanical golem thing with hands that was used for herbalism).
And FYI… folks have been doing it for over 700 years in Belgium, apparently. Fishing while mounted, that is. I can’t post it, but it’s on YT.

EDIT: All I can find is shrimp fishing. It’s kind of like using a boat but in the very shallow shore. Not really using a rod and reel from atop a horse. XD Interesting, though!
I am sure it happens every where horses exist.

I’ve put down mounts for less. Once cause I resented the recolor. I bought it just to retire it.

get one of my water walking mounts, go to the middle of the lake and go fishing.

Fishing is good gold 50K per day
I spend most of my day fising. I loved the last espansion. The Iskaara Tuskarr quests for the spear, the ice axe, the nets, the canoe, the fishing poles, the high mountain fishing….it was all such fun.
Fishing has changed in this expansion……perception is everything.
I start my day with my 329 perception Algari Fisherfriend pole, I take a Phial of Truesight for 120 perception. Then I look for a Glimmerpool and fish up a Goldengill for 45 perception and at the first Blood pool usually pick up a Ghoulfish for 15 more perception. So start at 509 perception. Theres more with line and +fishing gear and throwing back Crystaline Sturgeon for 45 more perception. Theres more but its all discoverable.
At the Ripple Pools I catch one Regal then throw in 4 more Regals for 2 minutes, where I usually fish up 5- 6 Queens. About 25 to 30 Queens between 9:30 am to 10:30am and 9:30pm and 10:30pm.
I buy 50 Regals at the Auction House and have them in my bag at all times.
In those morning and evening times I usually pull in 10 Sanguine, 10 Arathor and 40 Slum Sharks each morning and evening. So 25K gold morning sell off and 25K evening sell off. My Alchemy is leveled and I make some potion, phial and flask sales in that 25K also, but the fish are the bulk.
I use the Stargazers and fish up the Caelocanth for 500 gold apiece over and over.
Theres a way to make you mount ride on water, so I think you should be able to fish from your mount.
