Do you really want us to spend every Saturday just fishing all day on all our characters?
the Hallowfall derby is a 1 hour event, once across the account. Whichever character gets the quest first, gets the buff. No other characters on the account can take up the quest again.
Not sure if this was what you were talking about, but, this should clarify.
They are referring to the nerf to the quest reward from 25 derby marks for one character to 3 derby marks that can be rewarded to multiple characters
To clarify:
September 19th hotfix:
âHallowfall Fishing Derbyâ can now be completed on multiple characters, awarding 3 Mereldar Derby Marks.
This also includes your first character to do it each week, so now you have to do the quest 9 times to make up for the 25 marks we used to get.
It is also currently bugged from what im told and only 1 character can get the buff anyway. So we are just down 22 marks.
Edit: this very well could all be a bug and your first toon should get 25, however unless they reward the people who already did it with 22 marks wellâŚ
I completed the Derby on one character about half an hour ago; switched to a second, picked up the quest and buff, and went out to fish.
Twenty minutes and multiple fish later, including two Crystalline Sturgeon and one Specular Rainbowfish - two of the three fish required this week - I realized nothing was counting towards quest completion.
So no, this is not working like it should according to the hotfix notes. Multiple characters can pick up the quest, but they donât âcatchâ the trophy version of the required fish and therefore cannot complete it.
This is a terrible change. Where do they get these ideas?
My GUESS is this was meant to become a daily event vs a weekly one. Since they dropped it from 25 to 3 (7 times less) but if not, wow that sucked the fun right out of it.
Iâm only fishing on a single character still.
