There’s a bug that’s allowing multiple people to win the fishing tournament. Roughly 2 winners every 15 minutes. People can turn in their 40 tastyfish to the npc long after a winner has already been announced and still be rewarded with the pole/trinket.
It’s possible that it has to do with a server having layers. But there were roughly 20 winners in yesterdays tourney.
Just saw it happen on Arugal. Between 30-40 winners.
Confirmed, saw it happen on Mankrik as well. Not sure how it’s triggered - I didn’t have the option to turn in my Tastyfish after first 5 winners. Then again I was trying on a character that already won it twice.
It looks like you just have to wait in front of the NPC for around 10 minutes or so, then he’ll eventually offer the quest.
I watched it today, Riggle Bassbait will respawn exactly 10 minutes after a winner is announced and will accept another winner. Rinse/repeat.
