Is there a way to turn down the sound the water makes while you are fishing so you can hear your lure when a fish hits?

I think thatā€™s an ambient sound, where the bobber noise is a sound effect.

You can adjust them in the system tab.

I could also be wrong though. Take my word with a grain of salt

i use the fishing buddy addonā€¦any time you go to fish it adjusts the sound setting to make it easier to hear

Thanks! yes the water sound was ambient. when i turned that all the way down, i can clearly hear the bobber now
