Hello. Is there any benefit to +Fishing Skill gear and enchantments and the like for the fishing pole or otherwise if you’ve reached the skill cap for the profession? I imagine once you’ve capped you’ve reached the highest likelihood of catching fish in open water instead of trash and the best fish, if applicable, from pools which guarantee fish anyway? If there’s maths and the like showing how excess gathering and profession skill impacts capped professions then please let me know!
About the only thing it might be needed for now is the Draenor Lunkers if they haven’t fixed the catch rates from the profession changes. The skill boost is mainly for leveling new characters in areas that still have junk.
This is the same for all of the skill boosting traits. It doesn’t matter at max skill but can make leveling easier.
