Fishing nodes

Is everyone seeing fishing nodes live?? since the patch?
I cant see them at all and I swear I had the find fish as found/read from the weathered journal

In retail?
This is a cause for concern, we have not needed fishing pools in a while but in DF they have specialized pools that we’ll very much want to drop by and fish from.

Im just asking for some folks to look and see if they see any nodes Im not seeing any fishing nodes

Gimmie a sec… I’m on my lunch and will log in at work and check. I’ll edit this post.

Edit: affirmative I can see pools… I used the new base UI and I know I had find fish checked before the upgrade… but not certain how to turn it off now… Oo

I thought I saw some in Highmountain yesterday, but I wasn’t really paying attention. I’m currently at work or I’d check.

for sure I had it turned off from before I assumed it was on as default since the patch since there is no longer a menu

You can see if you have it checked by clicking on that thing to the left of the zone identification… I have mine displayed below my map, yours may be above. Click that and it gives you the old right click drop down from the old mini map.

IIRC, there is an icon to the left of the minimap location. Click it for tracking options.

The menu is there, if you look above the minimap to the left of the zone name is a tiny pair of binoculars, click on those and you can turn on find fish and all the other tracking options from before.

There are a lot of options missing from mine. For example, I can’t seem to tell it to NOT track repair vendors, because that option in the drop down list has just vanished. xD Now I get to watch all the Slowhands roam around Oribos.

the icon is small in my defense
I read the tutorial tip when first logged in to mean
things automatically show up when they are relevant

“tracking options have been simplified and will show up when conditionally approprite” I interpreted that as they automatically would show up if learned for example over water

Ugh… Well maybe an addon will come out. I’m at work and not using ElvUI that I use at home… but I’m going to check for that functionality when I get home… lol

And I think you’re understating it when you say small, when you’re playing on a big monitor that thing is so tiny that for the longest time I thought it was just a burned out pixel :slight_smile:

I use ElvUI, and at least for me it’s not showing up. It is pretty funny to watch Cousin Slowhands all over the place, but also I hate cluttering my minimap with tracking icons haha.

(Side note: My husband and I have decided the new mining node icon is a chicken nugget. We now mine for nuggies!)

I’ve been fishing pools in Suramar to level up my vulpera’s Underlight Angler, so I’ve definitely been seeing them.

I had made a suggestion yearssss ago for Blizzard to allow us to customize the dot color instead of making everything yellow… While I appreciate the extra mile they’ve gone… Yeah I’m not so certain about some of those icons… lulz. I would have been happy with different colored dots. Green for herbs, gold for mining etc.
