I have done no fishing till I hit Draenor so I am trying to fish up scroll that gives you fishing in Draenor. I have caught close to 100 Fish and still no ability scroll to teach fishing. All the fish I am catching are Enormous fish if that makes a difference. I am not getting any credit for the fish and wondered if there is a requirement of fishing in the other expansion’s to get the scroll. Can anyone set me straight.
This is on my lvl 98 mage, just noticed that i was logged on my 120 pally.
Did you train in basic Fishing from a Fishing trainer? If Fishing works the way other professions do, then that’s a prerequisite for training the various expansion Fishing skills.
I have no idea how you could just be catching enormous fish there without learning Draenor fishing. Maybe you want to report that as a bug.
Another option is to get your garrison up to level 2, then you’ll have a fishing trainer in your garrison who can teach you Draenor Fishing.
