All the fish being generalized into creating the same reagent is sort of bad… it makes uncommon and common fish the exact same value with maybe a 1-2g difference. Specific fish should be required for different recipes, you can see how insanely valuable Slum Sharks are because they’re one of the only fish that are required for a recipe. I don’t expect nor want all fish to be 700-800g a pop obviously, even now I think Slum Sharks should have a higher drop chance in Azj-Kahet open waters or something. Really there’s 0 reason to ever buy a River Bass over a Rainbowfish or a Dornish Pike even though the Pikes are rather rare, because they do the exact same thing. So that raises the question of why they even exist? What’s the point? They fit the same bill, there’s no reason for them to exist, more recipes need to have specific uncommon and rare fish requirements, Sanguine Dogfish for example are damn near worthless even though they’re hard to get, Spiked Sea Ravens are also not worth much because only 1 recipe needs them specifically and its… Stamina food, something no one wants, not even tanks.
