Just wondering if you have to be max. level to get these recipes to drop, or if they’re just very rare. I did some open water fishing… enough casts to max out fishing and then some - no recipe.
I think i only got 1 cooking recipe from fishing, I’ve gotten other recipes though. Maybe 4 or 5 in total over 1500-2000 casts (If i had to guess)
It doesn’t matter what skill level you have, I’ll have 100+20 skill and 109 perception and all I get are plans or recipes for other professions. That’s including dungeon drops. I hasn’t gotten a single thing I can use for my cooking or leather working.
Haven’t got squat since reset.
But I didn’t start getting recipes, silver and gold coins, until I got to 100 fishing.
But if Blizzard wants fishing to be about “Perception” from another activity instead of fishing skill and fishing gear… What the… what ever.
I have the impression that fishing was going to be fleshed out like the other specs, but they gave up partway through and did not clear everything out. Perception is on one piece of gear, the fishing journal makes zero mention of what perception does for fishing. Actually, it doesn’t state what any of the stats do.
I don’t even think there’s any sort of mention that more fishing skill = better loot, for all I know 150 fishing could be identical to 100. The game doesn’t explain this at all
my issue isnt so much the drop rates as it is that when i finally get a bottle or a gold coin for a bag the recipe is never for the professions i have cooking/leatherworking.
