Where on earth are you meant to catch this fish? It’s supposedly common but none of the pools listed in the journal have given me one in 2 hours.
Are you fishing in the right zone?
I’ve tried every zone listed and every pool listed.
I have fished quite a bit, maxed level 300 with +24 to fishing skill… but if you stack perception equipment and have high level it should be able to be fished up… I forget the pools they have dropped from but I have personally caught and sold 27 of them during my time fishing/playing so far.
Someone on wowhead 1.5 hours ago stated that its currently only dropping from festering rotpools specifically however… so maybe that is true and you need to find those to fish out of instead.
Yeah, I’m at 318 and not even getting them from rotpools. I’ve caught 4 at some point between launch and today but cannot for the life of me determine where I got them from.

Testing my fishing on open water just now with new fishing tool/enchant etc I just got a Dilly-Dally Dace out of open water in the Isle of Dorn Tranquil Strand…
Not that it’s overly efficient open water farming because even with 308 skill, and 314 perception I have gotten 5 fish in 16 casts.
BUT for the sake of letting you know, they do indeed drop from fishing and that was in open water. Just keep trying you will find some.
Edit/Correction: 214 perception NOT 314 as the Angari weaverline does not give any stats initially, I just realized, so I will need to farm 1000 Mereldar Derby Marks currency in order to buy the Algari Seekerthread and raise the perception granted by 100.
I just got the achieve. I was on an alt since progress seemed to be warband-wide (confirmed it is. just don’t turn in the quest and you can keep trying on alts.) Fished it up in a Festering Rotpool in Isle of Dorn. It was the last fish I needed and the moment I got it, the achievement popped. Did you have the derby buff active still?
I didnt still have the Derby buff active, you shouldnt need it to be active right?
ahh you do have to be on the quest for it, i just got another and didnt get it.
