Fishing bobber randomly disappears after casting...bug?

Having issues when fishing and casting out my line, it disappears. Sometimes instantly, sometimes after a couple of seconds and I have to recast, sometimes 10 times in a row before it stays and I can actually wait for the bobber to catch something.

Is this some sort of bug? I am leveling up fishing right now, but it’s been happening since skill level 1 (currently at 192). It is totally random, in all areas. Any help is appreciated.

I had this happen to me last week, was very confused.

Yep, happened today. I was using the oversized and worm bobbers. After two minutes the worm bobber buff disappeared between casts.

Re-did it and had to let the dogs out on patrols and came back (five minutes), both were gone.
