Read an article on Wowhead about what’s been datamined, and it looks like Fisherspear’s Lucky Lure is listed. Fisherspear’s Lucky Lure: Calls a skilled tuskarr angler to your side. WTH does that even mean? I read a comment about it giving a 75+ fishing buff?
I was okay with the delux rewards if they were cosmetics like in TBC, but if that lure works like the commenter suggested, they’re offering paid for advantages

Yes, you can buy lures in game, but they’re offering permanent lures, AND they’ll likely stack. This item is gonna make getting the turtle mount super easy.

It offers no advantage to your characters ability to do something meaningful
It is giving you a paid for advantage over someone who did not pay to have that advantage.

The +75 lure is barely any currency worth in game.
It’s not game breaking. They’re giving a fluff item that you can buy for less than Wrath trash vendor loot.

If so, its definitely crossing the line. Most people may not care, but its a slippery slope. Today its +75 to fishing, tomorrow its a toy that grants free water walking, or increased movement speed. Small benefits that give any advantage for the cost of real money impacts the game.
I’d pay 100$ for my characters to have max flying. Gave up mindless grinding years ago. If it is boring I ain’t doing it. Rather do the fun stuff and this let’s me have more fun fishing
75 fishing buff is a basically worthless advantage.
Yeah, but it isn’t a vendor. You can’t actutally sell items to it.
