The minimap of my character Nightshàde is no longer showing the fish locations in the minimap. Other markers such as herbs are showing up with no problem. An addon is not causing the problem because my other characters have the same addons and their minimaps are still showing the fish locations.
Did you check the tracking dropdown list to make sure the option to track fish is still selected? Also, are you sure you earned the fish finding skill on that character? It’s not an account-wide feature and requires using the weather-beaten journal.
The drop-down tracking doesn’t even have a fish option. It used to. Yes, I know it’s not account-wide, but I referred to my other characters just in case somebody claims that it might be an addon causing the problem, when it’s not.
If it doesn’t show the option at all, you need to loot the journal on that character. There was a location in suramar that I recall fishing mine up on alts not too far from the main flight path. The wowhead post probably has some useful comments for specific locations.
That character already had the journal and the ability to see fish in the minimap, but lost that ability. That’s the problem.

I figure it can’t hurt to try to loot the journal again to see if it works since something like this probably won’t be addressed rapidly. As an altoholic, I find it easy to misremember what I have learned across my alts. Best of luck.
Thanks, but that character is always fishing in schools and pools of fish, but the journal does not appear. The game thinks that that character already had the journal (which he did), and so won’t offer it again.
it’s possible for an addon to cause issues for only one character.

I tried that. It adds more tracking, but the fish still did not show up.
Having the same issue, have tried all of the solutions in this thread with no luck.
Just figured it out, on the very top right corner, and on the left of calendar icon, there is a telescope icon. Click it, and select fish.
Somehow Blizzard messed it up during the update
