First video game you ever played?

We’ve all had a moment where we played video games for the first time, and those video games eventually led to us playing World of Warcraft, so if you can remember, what was the first video game you ever played?

My first game was Pac-Man, it was on one those “plug N play” controllers that you hooked up to your TV back in the early 2000s.

First one I can remember is Doom (1993). Probably not the ideal game to introduce to a toddler, but hey, I’m a PC gamer now.

At home? It was an Atari 2600 and the game I remember the most was Adventure. Yes, I’m old.

I don’t remember the name of it, but it was on a computer at my school. Something about photographing wildlife in the Amazon, and plants or something.

I’m old.

I don’t know what specific game might have been first, but I know it would have been something on the SNES or N64 (we had both at the time), and the handful of games I remember most from then would be…

Super Metroid (SNES)
Super Mario World (SNES)
Lagoon (SNES)
Skyblazer (SNES)
Super Mario 64 (N64)

The original Starcraft also was pretty early on, but it wouldn’t have been first.

My first was Pong in 1975.

My very first would have been Commander Keen in Alien’s ate my Babysitter. It was released in 1991 but I wasn’t alive then, came across it in 1998.

Young kid with a hand-me-down computer which didn’t meet the programming needs my dad required. Started the spiral that has probably gotten me the job I have now at server operations.

I mean how far back we talking. Because technically I was like 3 years old playing madden 96 with my dad.

First one I chose to play was probably Mario or Pokemon.

I remember playing that game on my high-school laptop back in 2019, it was on a DOS emulator website.

Frogger
Joust (my favorite)
Mario bros. (not Super Mario bros)
Donkey Kong
And many more I’ve forgotten.

My first PC game would be WoW.

I play mostly on Console and years down the line I went to PC gaming and always had made Console is my secondary platform to play games on and I forgot my very first game since I have a memory of a gold fish.

My very first game was Super R-Type on the snes. My big brother and I named all the bosses after dogs, our own and our neighbors. Shashi, Kuji, Bailey, Quincy, Rex, Rootie, and Heidi.

We would yell “Ahhhhh darn Shashi!” And she would come to us all happy and stuff.
