I chose Legion expansion from Chrome and all it did was tell me to go to the portal room in that mage tower in Stormwind and take the portal to Azsuna. Once I got there, all I had to do was click on the objective to finish the quest, after which no new objectives showed up. I just ended up going to a plain ‘!’ on on the map for Azsuna and following those. But I can’t tell if I’m doing side quests or the actual campaign since none of the '!'s have are on shields like they are in DF, indicating the campaign.
I hear people start Legion by going to Dalaran or start at Broken Shore. I don’t understand how that is the case, Chromie had me take the portal to Azsuna and it was one of those quests you turn in by hitting complete in the objectives. What am I supposed to be doing in Azsuna?
Go to Dalaran as soon as you can dude.
I see, but I just don’t get how Chromie had me go to Azsuna instead?
It is because Blizzard believes its players are not very smart and would become confused by two Dalaran portals.
So they, in their infinite wisdom, decided to make it even more confusing by making the Legion portal transport you to a random zone as opposed the main expansion hub.

Yeah that’s a head scratcher. Just started Legion on a new Warlock a few days ago and Chromie sent me to the SW harbor to do the Broken Shore intro.
But Yeah going to Dalaran should have the quest’s that’ll get you the Hearthstone and start your Class Hall/Artifact quests.
I’m not sure she did. Didn’t she also tell you to talk to a kirin tor mage in the mage tower in SW? That’s where I went after the Broken Shore invasion scenario to watch Dalaran teleport.
I restarted 3 toons in legion over the last two weeks, and there are a few ways to get started. First, you can go to Sergeant Lee in the harber, and he will let old players skip the scenario if you have done it already. Second, you can do the starter scenario, but that puts you back in Stormwind at completion where you go find some demons in the keep before talking to the mage and teleporting to Dalaran.
As for Azsuna, well, it wasn’t one of my options. Azsuna is an easy place to catch the main quest and has some things at the demon hunter zone you have to do to pick up further quests like Balance of Power or get referred to the blue dragon camp. It’s the best place to start if you aren’t coming in the front door (somehow).
The problem is, if you’re not able to fly, getting to Dalaran is going to be a bit of a pain at level 10, get to Dalaran, and get your extra hearthstone. But I’ve got no fix for this other than maybe retrying the Broken Shore invasion scenario, or coming back at level 30 with flying. You need to get to Dalaran, and those quests won’t send you back.
Good job blizzard.
I’m in Dalaran and some demon girl was following me with an orange ?. I’m on a quest now called the Twinblades of the Deceiver in the Felsoul Hold to find some artifact. Are class halls bases unique to each class or something? I’m seeing all these class halls are accessible via Dalaran, they must of been added in with the Legion expansion or something
I have no clue about the harbor sergeant Lee guy or broken shore starting points. Is there more than one way to start this campaign or something?
Yes, that is your class hall order quest which is the ‘main storyline’ of Legion, outside of zone specific quests/stories.
Every class except Evoker (which didn’t exist then) has their own class hall and class story lines.
And there is, you can go to Dalaran directly (and thus skipping the intro scenario start), or do as they mentioned and do the intro scenario which will take you to Legion Dalaran. I am unsure if the intro scenario route might not be available after already starting doing stuff in Legion though, especially if you have the class hall NPC showing up offering the class hall starting quests already.

As a DH, you skip all of this. If you’re doing quests with the demon hunters down there, you’re doing the main storyline.
