First time players

Crusader Strike player here. I’ve noticed over the last couple weeks something I didn’t think I would see again, but that it a ton of new players experiencing Classic for the first time with SoD.

While it is really cool for there to be so much interest in a remixed version of the original game it also comes with a ton of issues.

  1. Not understanding itemization. I’ve seen so many mages and priests roll on agility or strength gear just cus blue.
This can be frustrating for others and often lead to groups disbanding.

  2. Lockouts. As a raid leader I’ve seen a few different people quit cus they lost a roll or didn’t understand how MSOS works; just to find out they’re locked to our raid ID. There is no boss lock outs. If you decide to scuff a raid, you’re locked to it til reset.

  3. Parry haste. I’ve had to tell a lot of melee to stand behind the boss. This feels so weird to have to say, but parry haste is a mechanic that makes the boss hit 40% faster if you get parried and you can only get parried if you attack from the front. Don’t kill you tank.

  4. Not getting hit by Murlocs. Easiest mechanic in the game. Stop dying to murlocs.

Teach your raid where to stand. There are spots you can stand still and move only for dodging shadow crash.

I’ve had to do this with pretty much every pug which makes it frustrating.

Game has been live for 130 hours and you’re complaining as a raid leader that the new raid requires you to lead your raid.

You sound like a toxic leader. Pass the reigns before you curse someone out for standing in bad.

Always call people out for being bad. We’re here to kill bosses not hold hands and waste 9 peoples time.

Calling people out is good. Complaining about needing to do so is bad.

That is all. Be strict, demand better from others, but also demand better from yourself.

We have decided as a guild to bring Shadow Prot potions for pugs who can’t dodge.

Thats a good idea even if players do dodge.
