Lol. You must have rolled with some noob pallies, we are hands down the #1 5man tank if played/geared correctly and it’s not even hard.
So a basic thing that I think you should know is “elemental resistances” both ways.
- You doing dmg as Frost spec wont do dmg to water elements, likewise fire with fire elementals, and nature with earth elementals etc.
- You can wear fire resistance gear and reduce fire dmg (doesn’t exist in retail).
- Feral, Boomkin, Enhance shaman (to a large degree), elemental shaman, and Ret pallys largely are not used in raiding / unwelcome in a lot of guilds so be forwarned. You may find a willing guild though if you search / make it.
- Leveling is slower requires more quest to ding and you get a lower % of your perspective lvls exp from questing than in retail. (there are ways around this guides, and or just dungeon power lvling)
is there way speed up mission list on NPC quest giving
(Quest givers ruin my first time and if there way speed it up someone plz tell me)
Simple advice really, find people you enjoy playing with and can trust not to ruin your fun or progression.
Have some form of gathering profession to make some gold herbalism is a good one to make gold once you reach 40+ zones and skinning will net some good extra gold as well.
Invest in bags early, helps leveling speed, gold income, and QoL a lot.
Bank alts help as well.
Keep an eye on the AH, sometimes you will find gems of profit.
As an example I have found light leather selling in the AH for less than vendor value. I bought it and with the sheer volume that was there I made about 50s off it. At level 7 that was huge.
I’d give more advise but IDK what class and role you want to be, so good luck.
Might as well just stick with Retail or quit playing. Blizzard has ruined both classic and retail. Go play FFXIV, they deserve money more than Blizzard.
So many Evil Gnomes.
Interface options --> Display --> Instant Quest Text.
Leveling with someone you know IRL is the best way to level.
My brother got to level 38 or so before he stopped and I kept going…he eventually hit 60 but lost interest completely. : \
Still happens plenty. Last saturday I watched our warlock’s corruption get pushed off of onyxia by wounding poison and rend.
I didn’t shout at anyone but I did bring it up after the kill, and explain the issue.
That’s the problem Prove not enough shouting
Wound poison? Really? lol
Prob shoulda shouted
I might have raised my voice if we were on progression, but Onyxia’s on farm. Flipping out over a couple new raider’s small mistakes that only mak a 5 minute kill into a 6 minute one isn’t our guild culture.
Now, he does it again and we’ll have some sterner words, since he’s been taught.
