Hi, this will be my first time playing Wow Classic. It is a lil overwellming, as a lot or mechanics are way different, but im still sure I will love this new experience, but I am a casual player and Im aware that it could be hard for me.I have mained Warrior since Legion, where I started to play, but I have heard it is the hardest class for leveling in classic. What would be harder for me? Playing warrior or mage (no experience).
Warrior is fine if you can get into dungeons for gear. Mage is less about the gear. More about learning not to pull too much and being efficient with mana.
mage is pretty easy, at least in phase 1. Find frostbolt. That is about it. Oh, and make me some water.
You plan on playing PvP or PvE? This will affect your leveling experience.
Play what you like. If you like Warrior, then play Warrior. Don’t be scared.
To answer your question though, Mage is definitely easier. I have played both and enjoy both. As long as you’re having fun with it, that’s what counts.

My advice? Play what sounds interesting and fun. Don’t let yourself get sucked into the min / maxing efficiency mindset. You’re supposed to be playing a game and having fun, not working a second job. There are going to be freaks in the game who shame you for being a normal casual player. Ignore them and move on. Have fun and I’ll see you out there.

If you are used to playing later expansions, any class in vanilla will likely be a cakewalk for you. Don’t sweat it too much, but warrior is the more difficult choice to answer your original question (outside of mage AoE grinding, but that’s its own thing and not necessary to play the class).
If you ever go hunter…feed your pet. also try to not have them die too much.
cat doesn’t like to be hungry or die. If cat is unhappy, cat will leave. Literally lol. to save on money (get used to being poor as hell) I have cooking a must have for hunters.
Meat eating pets, make the good meats, feed em often. that keeps the pet loyal.
