The headless horseman’s mount because it took 6 years and my guildies that had it would torment me with it the whole time.

My first epic nightsaber back in vanilla!
Having an epic mount wasn’t very common at the time.

My Argent Warhorse on my Tauren Warrior. Horde didn’t have horses at the time so I had to get one. I don’t think mount sharing was in the game yet either, cannot remember.

I had to get the Swift Razzashi Raptor for my Alliance warrior. Alliance had no raptor mounts at the time. I was sweating that one because the raid was very close to removal before it finally dropped.

Probably one of my all time favorite mount is the Grey Riding Yak. Nothing special to get one, but it’s truly among the greats.

Has to be my Veridian Netherwing Drake!

I grinded for her back when it was current content. It took weeks if quests and egg hunting but It was all worth it in the end! I remember being so excited once i finally reached exalted and was on the way to Shattrath City to pick out my first Netherwing. I went ahead and picked the green colored one named Zoya because i found her to stand out more compared to the rest. To this day she is still one of my favorite mounts and i use her all the time on my Demon Hunter.

Netherwings were the first dragon mounts to be introduced into the game, and i was so proud to finally get one of my very own back in BC :grin:

Edit: Also, a weird thing i do is name all of my favorite mounts. I still call my Netherwing drake Zoya, the name she had in the completion quest :smile:

My Feldrake because I got him from a card pack I random buyed from Target.

I always wanted to find a tcg mount that way so it made me really happy.

Onyx Nether Drake. Took a long time to grind that rep out in BC, and other than Ashes, was the coolest mount you could get.

The Cenarion Hippogriffon was the first reputation mount I ever got, I still use it occasionally, I wish they would update the model for it though

My Black War Kodo that I earned back when PVP mounts required level 60 and marks of honor from each battleground.

Was my first Epic mount.

It was the most coveted mount for Alliance back in old vanilla, anyone here who played then who didnt farm this thing day in and day out is a liar.

Getting my epic charger on my first paladin. Was such a pain in the neck.

The quest itself wasb’t so much the problem, it was finding people willing to dungeon trot all over the place for it.

The Sky Golem back in MoP. I was maxed out in engineering on my level 85 DK twink and farmed all the mats myself for the mount and made it. I love the mount and it became my favorite. It was also unique at the time.

Mounts have never given me a sense of pride, only happiness that I had acquired it. I guess the ICC achievement frostwyrm would be the one that made me happiest, had to have it since it matches DKs perfectly but required some creativity to solo the whole thing.

Drop wise, it was definitely Ashes.

My Vicious Nightsaber (might not be the exact name), the arena nelf mount. I like PVP but I hate arena, so it was kind of painful. Some guildies and I ground it out until we got it though, still my #1 choice for ground mount. It looks ferocious and cool!

My first mount ever because it was a true character progression milestone locked behind 40 levels of walking and 100g before discounts.

I gave up about 3/4 into revered but was the first thing I did when they changed it in Cata.

For me it would be the Netherwing Drake. I spent so much time hunting those eggs on my mage during BC that I still feel guilty using any other flying mount on that toon.

Its a stupid mount but i LOVE my ruby red panther… And it was given to me by my guild back in MOP when i took their Holy pally and taught her how to play ret… She is now one of my servers best ret pallys and here i am Yseras worst lmao

Probably Onyxia’s mount. It was the first one I farmed for. In like 2010 my old account got hacked and I got it back after whomever took it got Rivendare’s Death Charger. The gm let me keep it and returned everything else. So that was pretty sweet also.
