Something is up with matchmaking that the first few queues of the day are filled with players that intentionally lose or throw matches in RSS. After 2-3 lobbies, it clears out and get’s back to normal but something is wrong with the matchmaking of those first few matches. I see it week after week after week and it’s disgusting at this point. So sick of players who suddenly just don’t play at all and throw matches.

Uh, if it’s on a fresh char placements generally gonna be with other people on their first lobby so you’ll have people with bad gear, no keybinds, bad spec, whatever.
It’s more than that. Players actually stop playing… they do zero dmg or healing.

On my fotm fury alt I got 2 double mage lobbies in a row and was convinced blizzard was out to get me (let me put it this way, there was less than 1 iceblock per game across both lobbies), but then I went 5-1 and 6-0 my next 2 to get my elite set and all felt right in the universe.
Tldr I think it’s random, sometimes people just play bad
I would agree but I play enough toons to have clearly observed this pattern. I play 5-6 toons a week to keep pace with conquest cap. Often in the first 2-3 lobbies, I have quitters and leavers. Not bad players but they literally throw games. Like I said though, it clears up after a few lobbies. I report them every time of course. I do see it on nearly every toon though. I’m guess is that there is a flag for first few matches and that, when the flag is on, there is a higher propensity for players to throw who are just trying to clear objectives or drop mmr and that this flag clears after a few lobbies. That’s just a hypothesis though and I have no way to prove it other than through observability of that direct behavior.

Yes if you’re in the 1700-1850 bracket it’s literal hell on earth. Healers either freaking out after 1 lost round throwing and not healing or just being new. Constant DC afk rounds on most lobbies. Flame wars in chat non stop
I’d advise not enabling chat in shuffle. Honestly nothing they can help you with that will help you climb. You’re better off recording your games and watching vods to find where you could’ve played better

1700-2200* would be more of the range it can be.
People start at 1900 i believe. People under that MMr are like 1500 rated in past expansions, generally just People spamming games for fun or the raging sh1tter we’ve all seen in the game
