What was the first dungeon you did?
I started with the one in Silverpine during BC. I healed (I was scared to death, but I did well and have healed ever since).
Being new, I also NEEDED on everything. Did not understand why everyone seemed a bit upset towards the end of the run.
I believe we never had a wipe during that run.
I was a huntard. Yes, huntard… Insert all stupid crap. Yes, it was a deserved label for me. That’s all I’ll say.
I’ll be going as a healer this time around.

How dare you so casually dismiss the majesty of Shadowfang Keep.
That was also my first. Not just in WoW but my first MMO dungeon ever. And the first dungeon I’m running on classic

I started in Burning Crusade. The first character I played that I actually kept past the starting zone was a Blood Elf Warlock. And the first dungeon I ran was Shadowfang Keep, as I ventured through Silverpine, and my trainer sent me there for a quest.
Ragefire Chasm. I was healing on my priest.
We got to the area where it opens up into multiple groups of orcs on connected “islands.” I didn’t understand threat and aggro at the time. I was casting Renew before the pull. I pulled aggro on some orc and panicked.
I hit Psychic Scream. The orc went running across one of the bridges into another group. Needless to say, we wiped.
The happy end to this story is that nobody yelled at me. Instead, I got a whisper from the hunter who told me to (1) give the tank time to generate threat before healing him and (2) try not to use fear in dungeons and instead run toward the tank if I pulled aggro so that he could grab the mob from me.
I’m super grateful for both the patience those players showed me and the friendly advice I received.

I love it! Me too! Me too!
Had a 70 run me through Deadmines on my Mage. I was blown away because I got the shirt ring and wand, all in 1 run.
Such an adorable story! I love it!! Pretty sure I’ve done that exact thing too on my Priest.
My first dungeon was RFC on my priest. A friend of mine asked me if I wanted to run RFC and I was like what the heck is that. He told me to just come because it would be fun.
So there I was this level 12 noob priest who got asked to run RFC. I think things would have gone better if he had asked me to heal RFC because we got in there and I was playing like I was soloing. I would pop a power word shield and try and DPS it didn’t go so bad until we got to the first actual group of more than 2 mobs and we wiped because no one was healing. I had a few people raging at me for a bit, but we got back in there, and I did nothing but heal. I was not going to cause a wipe again lol. Eventually I learned when to heal, and when it was ok to at least use my wand to do some damage. I still mostly focused on healing and pretty much only used my wand for damage in dungeons, but dungeons were fun after that first debacle. I can’t wait to start up in classic again, but still not decided if I want to go heals again or do some DPS.
My first was RFC with my first character, a tauren druid. I wasn’t the tank but I ran it in bear form. Learned the difference between need and greed after needing on 2 items I saw drop that were better than what I had. I couldn’t even wear the one item but didn’t realize it at the time. Also learned about BOP when I tried to offer the one item back but couldn’t.

Deadmines on my first character a Druid. I think I was the healer or at least helped heal. I remember needing on some items that I probably shouldn’t have because I didn’t really understand the need/greed system yet.

Deadmines. I was playing the closed beta and was a lvl 30 paladin before the talent trees even existed for them. My friend being a level 20 warlock joined me. We didn’t even know it was going to be an instance, we expected to go into the cave and kill VanCleef and be done with it in 5 min.
Every single mob was elite then, including the miners. 2 hours after we started, we had just gotten to the foundry area past the first two bosses when it was announced the server was coming down for a patch so we had to bail. Weeks later we came back with another friend(level 30 rogue) and finished it.

Deadmines was my first dungeon. My friend in high school got me into it and she ran my brother and I for experience and gear. She was a decked out nelf warrior.

First dungeon was BFD. I had no idea where it was. Died couple of times trying to find it. Someone came out of dungeon and helped me to find the way. The entrance was hidden in some sort of a cave. So i died again. When we finally reached the dungeon entrance i realised the my gear is pretty much broken, all yellow. So I used HS and found myself miles away in Darnasus. The funny thing though, the group was waiting. I guess tanks were quite rare those days.

I actually did RFC as my first dungeon. I found it by accident when the game first came out and then I heard people talking about ragefire chasm in trade chat so I wanted to come. Which I did.
I like the low level dungeons, RFC, WC, Deadmines, SFK, BFD, the razorfens etc. I never even went to Deadmines until Wrath because of LFD letting you go easily.

My first dungeon experience was watching over my brothers shoulder as he did his first deadmines on his mage. We both thought it was the most amazing thing ever and couldn’t look away for the entire dungeon. I remember seeing a blue item drop with the gold dragon around the loot frame and excitedly yelling, “a rare item!! I read about those in the manual!!”

My first dungeon was Wailing Caverns. I didn’t even know RFC existed until later.
I was on my Undead warlock and all I really remember is that I couldn’t figure out how to give the healer a Soulstone. Back then it was a conjured item and showed up in your bag. I tried trading it like 5 times in both boxes and it never worked. Nobody else in the group knew how to do it either. Took several minutes until I realized you have to target someone and then click it in your bag.
