First Dive into 3v3: Tips for a 1500 Scrub

Hey there vaunted Arena forums. This expac I decided to make my first actual dive into arena after playing pretty casually from legion, quitting, coming back in 7.3, then doing the same thing for BFA and coming back in 8.3. Usually I just do some for fun 2v2 with my friend, and we BG hero, but with dampening gone and neither of us playing healers and WW/Arms not being the most dominant of Double DPS combos I thought we’d be better off going into 3v3.

Problem is, he doesn’t really enjoy 3s, but I do. So while he pursues his 2s dream with HPals or whatever I’m trying to learn the game. Often I find that I have no idea what’s happening or how to prevent an enemy team’s casters into the more open areas of the arena. From doing my homework I’ve learned that positioning and team composition is the bread and butter for a lot of what goes on in arena, but I’m looking to try and hit 1800 this season so I’m looking for pointers in how to more effectively use my CC and what to look out for.

Also apparently Arms Wars are globaling people, so if someone knows the secret to that I’m down to listen.

First you zug and then you zug zug

Monk is prob in the best spot for melee, all my 1600+ success was with a monk/warlock monk/spriest and monk/feral.

Warrior has to way out gear or will get rolled over cause they wont be a threat.

That’s what I was worried about, my warrior is my most geared character right now. I played WW in MoP when it first came around but stopped because my buddy basically mains it constantly and we couldn’t just double WW for any real results.

Yeah its the gear, melee needs to get a high ilvl wep. Also the cleave comps only work when both are at the top lvl of gear so if ur behind u gotta do raids and mythic+.
