My first death will be from pulling too many mobs bc I have gotten so used to facerolling retail mobs.
My money is on the cliffs. I am very prone to thinking āOH, itās not that far of a drop. Surely Iāll survive.ā Only to find my corpse on the ground a few moments later.
Clearing a mine only to have the mobs respawn on you.
Underestimating the mobs. As a tank, I can faceroll elites in BFA pretty easily. Iām rolling a dps/healing class in classic so I feel like Iām going to end up pulling far too many mobs.
If the last stress test indicated anything, itās that many players completely overlooked crowd control, threat, and mana management. The wipes were almost as glorious as back in the day when people knew nothin bout nothin.
On the first stress test my 1st death came in the mines near Goldshire. The Kobolds are tightly packed and itās very easy to pull extra mobs on accident and on top of that there is not much room to run especially if you had mobs respawn behind you. Iām going to put my money on some situation like that but it depends on how crowded the questing areas will be at start.
Back in Vanilla I remember looking out over the waterfall near Stormwind and telling my roommate almost that exact thing right before jumping and dying.

Pulling too many mobs thinking I can take them all.
First death will be to Scarlet Crusade Final quest when i try to kill the boss as a Priest and have to pull 3 mobs while kiting one back and trying to kill them fast enough to kill the boss before the entire camp respawns. Sadly i wont make it⦠IM NOT BITTER AT ALL
A cave. I dunno which one, but Iām sure Iāll be in one where they all respawn too quickly and Iāll get caught and not find my way out.
i imagine the first death will be heart related, maybe a stroke, i pray to my god, king emesis to protect us all from dying due to playing WoW
I speedrun, so my path has me purposely die and spirit res - so itāll be a mob or two, maybe fall damage.
I gotta say murloc as alliance or the trolls at the isle off Senājin if horde.
As a NE hunter, probably somewhere in Wetlands after aggroing approximately the entire zone trying to cross it to get to Ironforge at lvl 10.
Probably from respawns in Zalazaneās pit in Echo Isles.
Probably Son of Arugal. Maybe a Mage in Ambermill if I can remember to keep an eye out for Arugal.
What about the higher level goblin warlock (Fizzle I think?) in the northwest-ish part of Durotar? That sucker surronded by the lvl 11 thunder lizards always kills me twice before I decide to group up
For the vast majority players, it will be a green level mob below level 10.
Also the second death.
