First day back to school in Indiana

And Italy has the highest elderly population in the world along with the highest generational family units (grandparents, parents, grandchildren all living together).

I currently have Covid…sitting at home in quarantine as we speak. It was like a mild flu for 48 hrs and I have been fine since. I can’t go back to work or leave the house.

I’m still not sure how I got it as I have been following the “rules” since this thing started. I don’t go out. I don’t congregate in groups. I don’t go to bars, restaurants, or events. I wear a mask everywhere except to exercise. I have gotten take out 4-5 times since March and otherwise eat at home. My ONLY places I could have caught it are work (I am an essential worker in public works) or a grocery store. It seems very easy to catch and I assume just about everyone is going to get it eventually.

What about Sweden?

Now this is a good start to actual analysis.

Sweden is a mess. What’s your point?

Glad you’re feeling better and had what sounds like a mild case.

Yeah, I see this lol, but I thought I’d have been lambasted for not showing a source. I don’t normally jump in too hard with this stuff, but I couldn’t help myself today, it’s just way too serious of an issue to ignore.

Please stay safe Nillah, can’t be losing my forum fam to this crazyiness! :mask:

Thanks. Toughest part is quarantine in my own house away from family. And yeah I am glad I got the mild version for sure. I’m 42 so still young but old enough that I was worried for a bit.

If states allow masses to gather for “peaceful protests”, then clearly it’s not that big an issue. Covid is just a scare tactic to keep people under control.

That doesn’t answer the question. What di Canada do that the US didn’t?

Even if you include sources, lets be honest, it won’t make a difference lol

Follow the lockdown instead of act out over it.

Except that people still went out and the lock downs were not strict at all. Doug Ford was memed over since pretty much everybody except for small mom and pop shops were still open.

Even Dr Fauci said he could not recommend stopping the protestors from gathering by the thousands. So if he’s ok with that, it must not be that bad, right? hmmmm

Similar to the family funerals around the US that are horribly limited, and the government funerals that are attended by hundreds including those who are wanting restrictions on the common folk.

As a Canadian, for one, the mere existence of the virus isn’t a political issue. It exists, period. Neither is wearing a mask. Oh, and we also have social nets to prevent people from being evicted and losing everything because they lost their jobs due to a pandemic. But apparently that’s communism or something.

Holy strawman lmao. I live in Ontario atm and people have not been wearing masks and even with the new bylaw in my city stores are not enforcing it, while I do so I can be left alone most people aren’t. Social nets are irrelevant to the discussion.

Toronto is and has been packed.

go to school and play it smart. This covid virus a tool for election purpose. After election is over, they make you go back to school and open up business.

I almost wish that the rapture of the church takes place before the elections this year, just so people will realize what true woes are. Covid will be an absolute joke during those years.
