I play classic Cata bout to go mop btw. There are a couple of bs quests I picked up center of Ironforge, make belts, axes etc. It will use up a lot of materials and wondering if these quests are part of a chain to higher and better recipes or a waste? I have other characters that could use the mats, or could sell and wondering what is best course of action. Thanks.
The two early ones teach blacksmithing plans you can’t get anywhere else, but those are probably only significant if you’re a craft recipe completionist.
There’s also the blacksmithing specialization quests (armorsmith v. weaponsmith, and then weaponsmithing specialization by weapon type), but I don’t recall how significant those are. Probably access to specific plans based on the chosen specialty. Again, not useful crafted items for anyone going into MoP; just completionism (and transmog, if you have that).
Hi, thank you for the reply. In Mop are there going to still be weapon and armor specializations or are they going to be fused together like in retail? I dont have a high lvl BS in retail but seemed like blacksmithing took care of both weapons and armor low to mid level at least.
Blacksmithing specializations went away in cataclysm. So in MoP you don’t need to worry about them at all.
