Oh, I’d agree with that. A lot of people still here are people who are the die hardest of the die hards.
My raiding guild says they’ll be in wow till the servers shut off and I kind of believe them. I suspect they’re not alone.
I would say… this isn’t a good time for the game. In no particular order its old, it’s had 2 disappointing/not great expansions in a row (something that’s never happened before) and the direction is moving in a more and more hard core direction.
The last bit makes the game harder to love than it’s been in years.
If you love mythic+, hard core raiding, rated pvp…? If Dps meters and rankings are your thing? Wow’s probably fine for you. If you don’t? You really don’t have much to do. Anima grind a bit? Get a few mounts? Run some old raids (but… not even later legion ones solo). Even the social aspect has kind of died off in an age of more lobby style gameplay.
I’m not really cr**ping on wow. It’s one of the greatest games ever made. But I can imagine a lot of people are looking at 9.1 and thinking ‘eh… there’s really not much there for me.’
One thing I’ve NEVER seen before is popular streamers start to mention another game. That’s… new.
That’s what happens when the blizz devs continue just cramming this game into a trash can. Blizz/Activision need to fire literally every person who works on this game and hire a completely new group of people. The devs for this game have been ruining it for years. They’ve literally delayed this patch to develop yet another system that literally not 1 player wants anyhting to do with. Blizzard needs to completely rebuild the wow team from ground 0, the people working on this game right now are visibly and obviously completely incompetent and stupid.
Amos has left and quit wow more times then anyone can count. if he ever really leaves the fallout is gonna be subs going down for like 3 months like it always has.
Absolutely, they are telling the mass how to think. If you’re watching their videos you’re already influenced by their opinions because you’re there in the first place.
Don’t think it works like that for everyone. I’ve watched both of them plenty of times and have disagreed with many different points. There are people who are going to be “yes men” for them, but that at no point invalidates the criticism.
Me personally, I look at the information, take it in and then come to my own conclusion about things in the game.
Well we don’t have the information to come to that conclusion unfortunately. And again I don’t think that negates the criticism on many different subjects within the game.
WoW started before Streamers were a thing. I’m pretty sure it’ll survive without popular streamers.
Not everyone can just drop WoW and pickup FFXIV. He’ll be abandoning some of his fan base. Because some players will probably prefer TBC Classic over FFXIV.
Like any game, there’s a small learning curve. Best of luck to anyone that will switch. I’ve played FFXIV and it the definition of “Work”. Sure, you can learn all professions, and classes with 1 character. But once you’re done, you’re bored.
Awesome! thank him and anyone who thinks he is entertaining with him.
The best thing that can happen to wow is for it to loose the vast majority of the population in the game, and then start building it back as an actual RPG, and bring back the cut mechanics that were considered to difficult for most people.
I think this isn’t as much of a big deal as people are making it out to be. He was really into BDO when that game came out… he’s going to be really into New World and Ashes when they come out.
Realistically, he’ll probably play FF14 for a little while just for content, then go back to WoW… I don’t know if he’s explicitly said that’s what he’s likely to do, but I’d be willing to bet he’d agree with me on my assumption
I don’t agree at all. When Bellular was still praising wow in BFA I hated it. Wow has become a bad game. BFA and SL are the two worst expansions Blizzard has ever released.
I think if anything, they’re echoing what the general playerbase has felt since the very start of BFA.
Fully agree with this. Money is the only thing Blizzard cares about today so maybe if the money leaves they’ll either be forced to be better or they’ll let wow die.
This guy says things for views but doesn’t actually do it. I believe he said he would play ESO as well and never did. I don’t expect him to play FF14 its a rather boring game to stream due to its single player nature of leveling in that game.
