it is a big deal. I am kind of looking forward to that stream tbh since I haven’t really looked into FF14 much myself. First time playthroughs are good to watch sometimes

I sometimes wonder if the people in this community would just… implode… if some big content creator just made regular content for both ffxiv and wow at a high end. Like… would peoples’ minds just break apart from being unable to reconcile that?

I don’t think content creators trying new games is a sign of worry.
They’re players just like us. Sure if they move on, their fanbases might follow them but are they willing to take that risk?

Eh not really. People can be allowed to play other games. Streamers aren’t demigods, they’re normal players like anyone else. A couple trying out something else isn’t a big deal.

I’ve got money that he is not going to last more than a week with it.
He won’t find the pve engaging. If he by some stretch he lasts long enough to try pvp, he’ll be viciously (correctly) critical of it. He’s already repeatedly said he doesn’t care about lore or story. He cares about gameplay and there’s no illusion that the gameplay in 14 is anything but mediocre at best.

I actually feel bad for FFXIV players. Not because of Asmon himself, but the people who follow him around in-game.
Poor FFXIV community doesn’t know what’s coming to them.
