Anyone else having problems with the evoker Fire Within quest being bugged?

I can’t tell if I just…don’t understand the ability/empowerment part or if it’s bugged.

ok i figured it out, you can quickly press the spell again before letting it charge up

It seems the quest is bugged for me, I can cast the skill fine… Clicking method, tap and press, or hold and press, makes no difference. Using a macro, no difference.
Casting power level 1,2 or 3 of the spell gives me no quest credit. I’ve tried moving around and targeting different bugs also to use the spell on. Tried abandoning the quest and starting it over as well.

TLDR; Disable all addons, try quest again. I ran into a bug with Elv UI where the new “power up” mechanic to the ability you use in this quest is not visible and seems to render the ability unusable. I am sure there is or will be an add on update to support this. I disabled UI and was able to finish quest. In order to get the different levels just allow the bar to fill up to the different colors and it should work.

Yes, I’m trying to complete The fire within, cast an empowered II fire breath. I have the other 3 done but that one just will not complete. I have dropped the quest 2 times and retaken it. It always stops at the same place. I’m using default UI and it still won’t work. Have tried for the last 3 hrs. Not happy.

- Fixed an issue that prevented opposite faction players from being able to earn a chance at loot for defeating Fire Revenant, Lava Elemental, Earth Revenant, Air Revenant, and Water Elemental.
- Quaking Spikes during Earth Storms will no longer hit flying players.
- Fixed an issue where the level requirements for heritage questlines were incorrectly scaled.
- Fixed an issue where users on lower graphics settings were having difficulty locating Talon Kethahn during the “Awaken, Dracthyr” quest.
- Fixed an issue where players could get stuck in the Forbidden Reach.
- Fixed an issue where the objectives of the quest “To Be Prepared” were phased out once the pre-expansion quests were completed.
- Dracthyr can now accept and complete the quest, “The Archon’s Answer.”

Yes! No matter how long or short I hold down button it ALWAYS casts at maximum III empowerment. I’ve turned in about 4 bug reports, attempted to create a ticket (Blizzard obviously doesn’t want to provide customer support anymore because they make it almost impossible to do so), tweet #Warcraftdevs and nothing but crickets. I remember a time you turned in a ticket and a GM was in touch with you in game within an hour and worked to resolve the issue. Blizzard’s “culture” not only has issues with sexual harassment they have completed gutted customer service. I have abandoned the ques picked it back up and same problem. So now MY Evoker is 3 days behind the curve and I’m having to compete against Evoker’s in PVP rated and casual. Really, really, REALLY unhappy right now. I’ve had MY tech who also plays WOW watch my gameplay and attempts on this quest and he says it’s definitely NOT me, it’s the game.

This is easy. There is no UI bug or whatsoever. There are 4 bars. just hit hold the spell button within those 4 bars separately and you finish the quest.

I have been trying to complete step II for a week. NO LUCK. I have held button for a long time, a short time ,and a mid time. IT DOESN’T WORK!!! support suggests I look in the comment section to get assistance. there is only one comment, and they suggest what I have done for a week. HELP< HELP< HELP< HELP!!!
I have had the same problem and support doesn’t seem to want to assist other than to suggest contacting other players.
ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE HELPFUL. I just want to move to the next step and for some reason, the game doesn’t want me to!!
oh YES!!! my level 60 character has not been able to complete it for a week. I have recreated the character 6 times, every time my armour gets toasted and cannot fix it. it SUCKS!!! support suggests talking to other players. i think there is a bug, but they insist there is not one. ANY HELP OUT THERE???

Quest is still bugged. No add-ons. Reset all UI and deleted all cache files. Held down button for any or all variations of the empowered spell. Abandoned quest and picked back up. Tried using a macro. Nothing works to give credit for the quest.

You have to hold the spell down for each fire breath. So hold it until the bar fills to 1, then hold it for 2 bars and finally hold it for 3 bars and it should complete.

Disable all addons INCLUDING YOUR CUSTOM UI!!! My girlfriend drove me crazy not listening to me! Once she FINALLY listened it worked!
There is no bar that shows up when I cast this spell. There is one that shows up after I release the spell button. I have held if for as many different amounts of time as possible and it will not let me complete level 1 and 2

Anyone know how to do the 2 fire breath? I’ve got them all but one. I can’ t see the power bar until I let go of the button.
