If you are going to require fire resistance it should be as enchants and potions or elixirs.
Having to change out all your gear that you worked hard to obtain just to add some resistances for a single raid is horrible game design. Way to make people feel terrible about playing the game. All the gear they spend huge amounts of time farming becomes mostly useless because of arbitrary resistance requirements.
Instead you could just allow people to enchant their gear with magic to add resistances and lock them behind rep or quest lines. You can also make new potions and elixrs that people can farm.
Adding fire resistance to gear is probably the laziest and worst approach to doing this.
I agree its annoying game design, but full bis will allow you to complete heat 2 with no issues, and heat 3 you can reach the higher values with FR aura from pallies and rotating hydraxian exalted FR trinket.
This is how games operated clearly before your time.
Having stat checks isnt lazy, its gating progression behind stat walls. This is how old games designed it, and is what many of us wanted when coming to play a game based in classic.
Spells that required high resistance are supposed to be non-binary, now it’s binary AND 1 shot you 100% if you go under the threshold, this is completely new and nothing the old version had.
Arbitary breakpoints for participation on a stat like spell resistance is unquestionably stupid. Achieving 226 may not be difficult in practice, but is it promoting a fun gameplay experience? No, it’s not.
If T0 and T0.5 actually provided Fire Resistance on some deeper pieces, it could be better. But this isn’t the case.
i literally linked you the warrior dps list and it doesn’t have any greens in it and its like 90% molten core items, you are just a complainer, even when the evidence is right infront of your face you won’t even acknowledge it
where did i say it was good? you are inventing things now. I just told you that your arguments against it aren’t real, I didn’t share an opinion on the mechanic
