“Hey guys, we’re loving how this is going, think we could squeeze in @target options for FS/Meteor”
“So, we’re going to just gut the spec so you cast Fireball more often. How’s that sound? OK LUNCH!”

It’s a giant wall of text of impactful nerfs, plus “Pyroblast which does no damage in the first place now does 10% more damage.”
Fire’s resource economy post-The War Within has been too generous
That’s a complaint I’ve seen from exactly zero players. I like the idea of increasing the damage of Pyroblast, but 10% is nowhere near enough. I like reducing the mana cost of Fire spells since raiding fire mages have mana problems often. I don’t mind incentivizing the hard casting of Fireball, but I think there are better ways to do that than nerfing procs. There’s still time for testing before this goes live, but I am concerned.
I like the fast paced high cast frequency with procs that fire has, reducing that is a step in the wrong direction.
What a stupid idea.
The only thing I actually liked from the mage patch notes section is basically fof not consuming Winter’s chill, they need to increase the duration of the buff though, but the rest is all bad, especially the frostfire and fire changes.
The frostfire changes are literally mind boggling, who the f came up with that?
Please tell me blizzard do you have devs whose job is to come up with ideas that ruin a spec gameplay? There is no way someone came up with that and thought to themselves, damn this is good stuff!
This absolutely KILLS me:
“Rain of Fire is now a choice node that can be used to change the targeting from reticle to your current target.”
Is this actually a joke?
