Seriously WTF where they thinking putting these parts in Mara so deep w/ elite 42-45+ mobs split all the way across the dungeon from each other in a place that is locked that we don’t even get to do?

You need a group of 5 to get this rune, it was a horrible experience with 3 people trying to clear through the rocks elementals.

One of the reasons I havent bothered to grab any of the phase 2 runes on my druid and shaman.
I mean maybe if they made sense lore wise, ie: going to an area filled with lava and having to find something or fight a lava monster sure, but the mara run is just moronic.

Yea the start sounded like it was fire related with the first corrupted fire totem and fighting the Elite shaman guy. But then crystals and stuff at dungeon entrance to Mara… a locked dungeon? Corpse hop? Not shared with others? Requires group with no one interested especially the last played class.

It’s hard to get but worth.
Turns Fire Nova into an amazing tanking ability, basically renders Molten Blast obsolete.
It’s worth the multiple corpse runs.

Corpse run is the way to go.
Join the Shaman discord good tips.
First one is you can die outside and res in the tunnels right on top of the crystal on Orange side.
Do thay take res sickness and corpse run to the one in Purple.
Purple side is much easier to get to than Orange.
You can res on top of the crystals on Purple side and evade bug the mobs, loot and hearth out.
This rune should have been one of those QoL books, like seriously. Same with WATER SHIELD. Priest over here getting shadow fiend for free and same with aspect of thr Viper. The class bias from the devs in SoD is unreal

That was the 3rd rune I got.
Maybe I just had no issues because I had just completed the MSW rune questline (and absolutely do wish the Dev who designed the elemental motes step to stub their toe once a day for all of P2 lol)
But Fire Nova wasn’t exactly onerous. You don’t even have to kill anything to get the bits you need- just corpse hop it.
Not everything needs to be as easy as Alpha…lol
I’ve seen enough shaman using it against me that it’s definitely doable.
I can solo one elite at a time. Bring a friend it will go pretty easy.
