So what I’m reading drexia is that warlock is such an easy class you can’t succeed on other classes that require a modicum of skill more then Destro to play.

TBH just because a class is broken doesn’t mean it’s inherently good in every comp. Otherwise DH or DK would also work in any comp, and obviously they don’t.
