you can play fire past 2400 with 2 of them
I’d say needing 2 is a stretch
“JuSt iNteRuPt t3h cAsT”
“Git gUd…LOS”
Double blinks two los’s…kappa. It just doesn’t get old. Bakin dem pies…warm apple pies!
yeah in a world where you can get 3 fire blasts at 15k a pop and 2 pyros at 30k a pop as a result you dont need to bake any pies or cast anything or be in line for more than a couple seconds to meaningfully “go”
Remembers in legion when fire did zero damage but had the most control. Let’s go back to that.
trinket silence gpy in opener, dispel combust first global
Vendetta = horrify rogue, he trinkets---->full fear
My pally: “i have to bubble”
me: “HOW MAN??”
what a mood
the answer is that a rogue can waste trinket because without trinket they’ll still have sac/cloak/vanish to flip through as long as they have at least 1 hp when your setup ends, and the only mage in NA that ever uses his trinket carefully is wealthyman
I felt the pain through this post
Warrior version:
Get Cheaped->Poly
Trinket Poly, Banner
Stormbolt the Gpy, mage trinkets. duel combust
Rogue vendettas, insta disarm -> Rogue trinkets -> Fear him (and mage if possible) -> Rallying cry
My pally: “I have to bubble”
Me: “What?!”
Isnt it wild you have to talent every peel possible and have to for go sharpened blade to stand a chance and they dab on you anyway?
Really hate how fire/sin forces you to talent non ideal traits to stand a chance since they’re margin of error is jus a light year wide.
Nothings better from jungle pov, watching mage combust into ros (i.e he takes so much damage even with full PvE gear that I need to RoS before combust is used and fire mages still pop combust into RoS after???) and mending bandaging bleeds off insta, watching them scuff their go entirely only for my feral to just randomly die through every CD anyways
Consistently watching them fail every go and actually kill anyways makes me die inside knowing that we peel every set up near perfectly and even have mechanics that counter them only to die instantly regardless is so mindblowing, meanwhile they’re immortal and don’t have to stop a single one of our goes even though theh can, all for them to feel they’re any different from Dk/DH teams when in reality RMPal is just as forgiving as those comps just with slightly less tankiness.
it’s weird because compared to so many other specs, rogue doesn’t even farm scoreboard damage. having a 6 second stun for every single dr is just so insanely powerful. as other tools have been removed, this game’s design direction has made players get better and better at positioning and kiting, and those skills are almost completely nullified by kidney shot. rogues, almost uniquely, can force you to take damage at a precise point in time, over and over and over. this is a power that other classes should never have lost, imo, but now that we find ourselves here, we need some kind of bandaid. toxic blade+mfd caters so obscenely well to the frequency of kidney shot; something needs to be done. mfd back on a minute, toxic blade up to 45, reduce both or either’s output significantly, put an icd on poison bomb, REMOVE the abomination of game design that is internal bleeding…something, man. the entire spec is tailor-made to do unfairly easy, important priority damage inside of the game’s longest undispellable stun.
Its because paladin… the hard outs just make it so the mage never has to land a defensive poly because they always have a cd for the damage. Paladins are bopping goes so the mage can go offensive. What a time to be alive
theres nothing like queing into sin/fire and seeing the first gpyro go off b/c ur stunned and ur partners dont kick
if that first one goes off u legit just lost the game
Pre transform ur pet and kick gpie on open
No actually bopping goes is what I expect from fire/hpal, that was always one of it’s largest strengths especially in legion, RMPals that succeed don’t actually really have to do this - they actualy can be quite conservative if they want to.
I’m literally talking about goes just not even landing - fire/hpal/x should be consistently landing clean goes and losing like that’s actually fine, rmpal just doesn’t need to do that. Not really anything with the hpal completely here, especially defensively it’s just mages taking forever to kill and fire/assa being super strong. The reason they get super silly kills is actually very little to do with the Hpals right now outside of some extra damage. Hpal makes the comp incredible ofc with its fire mage synergy but some of those key factors aren’t necessary to be utilized.
Not like frost/assa/rdruid isn’t t1 either but it still requires more coordination that these teams just don’t have hope for.
pre DT before sap and petkick → pet stun the mages first 2 casts
hello it’s like you’ve never even played dk
accurate post
wish blizz would make the class interesting again
100% agree
since they won’t, the bandaid i’d like is to change gpye to the Spellfire school(or just Elemental) so that being locked on it also prevents poly(or poly+ring jointly)
play destro games, win destro prizes
i swear, fire is playable in every game right now with no gpye no shimmer. take blazing soul, maybe take flamecannon or tinder if you feel like it, and you’re a mop mm hunter in a dress.
edit: was told controlled burn is a default choice(making it even more hilarious how many mages don’t cast the spells that apply ignite), whoops
biggest issue imo is the ability to live based on teammates cds, add pve items and it’s a joke
play a mirror with the pve items vs your team without and there’s a clear winner
however, pve items aside - any comp that can tunnel 1 target all game without being punished is too mongo for the game
